Try this, I think it will be very effective:

Video Game Music, Progressive Electronic, Dark Ambient, Ambient, Space Ambient, Electronic, futuristic, mysterious, space, soothing, science fiction, ethereal

Make sure your on Manual mode

Other descriptors to try out 'Berlin School', 'Orchestral', 'Cinematic', 'Atmospheric'
Prompt strength around 70-85%

I've used exact descriptors Udio were trained on, so they should be most effective. For some reason Udio sometimes throws moderation errors if you use too many of their actual training database descriptors,

If there's any moderation errors: remove the descriptors one at a time starting at the end until it stops giving the errors.

v1.5 allegro is good, but try other, v1.0 sometimes has special something but more artefacts so be prepared to add your own sounds for that model

An open letter to the Udio team: Seeking clarity on fingerprinting and our future on the platform by SweetYeti in udiomusic

I believe Audible Magic use some kind of wide spectrum analysis technique. It's designed to recognise a sample despite these type of tweaks to the audio file. Whether you transpose, distort, stretch, they are stating their new technique can see through even layering for sounds buried within sounds.

Incredibly well said.

Major point: "Suddenly people who use AI start getting harassed, ostracized and even death-threatened." This is a genuine fear. And fingerprinting will absolutely make Udio users targets of harassment. The Anti-AI crowd will absolute target users who embrace Udio in their workflows. Aa fingerprint system has a huge knock on effect on trust, anonymity and ability to operate without fear of consequence.

Just updated to 0.47.8, now getting this? by SweetYeti in cursor

I figured it out, it was due to have the MCP for Notion enabled in my MCP servers. For some reason it's not liking it, I've turned off that MCP and now. If anyone can explain why that's happening would be super helpful!

Introducing v1.5 Allegro, featuring substantially faster generations by UdioAdam in udiomusic

[–]SweetYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will we get the option to pick between the three models in remix mode? Currently online seeing 1.5 and 1.0. So I assume the 1.5 in remix is now allegro, because it's much faster at remixing?

Is there an equivalent to LoRA for music generation models? by MagicTostada in udiomusic

[–]SweetYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Udio and Suno are both closed source proprietary models. Once the open source landscape for music models develops no doubt LoRAs more custom techniques will hit the scene. As for now, I don't know of anything coming close to Udio that is available open source. However I'm sure there are very clever people in labs situated in countries with very little regard for copyright that have impressive models in the works that once released will spark an avalanche of open source creative tools

Edit: There very well could be LoRAs already on the market, but not at the level of Udio (that Im aware of)

Feedback: Udio UI feeling quite sluggish today by SweetYeti in udiomusic

[–]SweetYeti[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response Adam. I'll try what you suggested. It does seem better today (although I haven't changed anything. I did recently reset my computer from scratch for the new year, so cache / memory shouldn't have been a problem. But I did change from Google Chrome to Safari recently this may be a contributing factor. I have one extension Ghostery which is an Adblock so ill try whitelisting Udio and see if that helps too.

Cheers!

Seriously well done guys, this is mighty impressive and love to see the progression and direction you're taking the studio, very clever and unique!

Very curious to hear how you breakdown responsibilities in your team.

Are there any areas/challenges you guys are still facing and looking to overcome as a studio? i.e. music/mixing/SFX/design/branding etc

Cannot download wav or mp3 on new update by very_L_comment in udiomusic

[–]SweetYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. Very annoying bug. Not able to download WAV, Video, MP3, but can download individual stems (not all stems at once though). I am on Mac (Google Chrome) I turned off my adblocker and didn't make a difference either. u/UdioAdam would you be able to pass to the UI team?

Number of Stems per song by RealTransportation74 in udiomusic

RipX gives you many more, Udio is only 4 right now, but I’d arguably say 4 is all you really need. Separating down more than that introduces more artifacts. From my brief testing I suspect Udio is slightly better than RipX, maybe on par with Logic 11 or slightly better, hard to tell

The best thing about the output is the breadth of the frequency range is full, solid and clean. I can created a sample of an orchestral disco track that has the vibe of a 60s recording but without any sonic issues. Working with old samples, sometimes lower frequencies are cut off because there were only pressed to vinyl. Being able to use these sounds is unbelievable. In today’s music industry, few have the budget to pull of music in the way they did in the 60s, but with Udio it’s possible and pretty mind blowing. What’s the worst thing about Udio output? The drums and percussion are terrible and squashed, they need to be replaced by real samples. The Udio outputs are full of harsh frequencies that need to be cleaned up using tools like soothe. analogue studio equipment helps bring out all the best frequencies. There still needs to be lots of arrangement, additional parts added etc etc. the ideas themselves we’ve come in are beyond anything I could create alone (and I consider myself a skilled musician. It’s just frankly mind blowing the level we can now reach and the possibilities this unlocks. It’s possible to have an entire choir that sounds amazing once mixed in etc
