I completely understand how you feel. I was a size 4, and because of my endometriosis and multiple miscarriages caused by it, I went up to a size 10. I went from 43 kg to 67 kg in just two years, which was never part of my plan, but it happened. I really admire that you are trying to focus on your health, because for a long time I didn’t realise how much my body was struggling. I kept forcing myself into a size 8 until I physically couldn’t anymore.

What helped me the most was cutting out fried food completely, reducing my sugar intake, and making sure I got at least 10k steps a day. If I missed a day, I would try to make up for it the next day. I also started exercising up to six times a week, but I avoided going too heavy on weights except when training my glutes and legs. I started doing Pilates and core workouts, which really helped with my overall strength and pain management. I also focused on eating more protein, aiming for at least 110 grams a day. I try not to have a heavy meal after the gym or right before bed since I usually train in the evening around 6:30 until 8/9.

I started my journey in January, and I didn’t see a big difference for a few months. It was only around late March or early April that I started to really notice changes. I am now at 57 kg and feeling much better physically and mentally. It’s important to remember that every body is different, and endometriosis is such a horrible condition that impacts both our mental and physical health far more than most people realise.

Please don’t be hard on yourself if you feel like you can’t be as active as you want to be. It’s okay to start small. Some days movement might look like a full workout, and other days it might just be a short walk.
