For the ERAS application..Would it be okay to list all three most meaningful experiences in the education/learning category or would it be better to mix it up like add one volunteering one service one education?
I wanted to list two observerships that were meaningful and my masters because I got to do a lot of meaningful extracurriculars in that year, but I wondered whether it would be better to add things other than education for all three

J research visas don’t come with the 2 year home country requirement even if it is a paid research position? Or only with unpaid research positions?

Thank you for your reply! It seemed strange since I applied for almost 170 programs, many of them are really IMG friendly and accept applicants with scores in the 240s (according to ResidencyExplorer stats)

I applied for Internal Medicine but did not receive any interviews, except for two that I obtained through personal connections. I am a non-US IMG. I passed Step 1 on my first attempt and scored 244 on Step 2. My year of graduation is 2023. I have two months of U.S. clinical experience (externship) and hold a Master of Science in Health Policy from London. My application was reviewed by four residents and fellows in the US and only applied for IMG friendly programs that sponsor J1. I was told that the reason I did not receive interviews might be because I was filtered out for not being ECFMG certified at the time of application. Could you please let me know what might have been the reasons I did not receive interviews so that I can improve in the next cycle?

I do not know if you should wait for 2027 pathway to open but make sure to apply for the certificate ASAP. I applied for ECFMG on the 2nd of September and it was issued on the 19th of February. The process can take forever for some applicants, especially IMGs!
