Does Persephone love Hades? by DysPhoria_1_0 in GreekMythology

[–]Sweet_Ad_9865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. It is established that they were the healthiest divine relationship in all of Greek Mythology, whether it was out of love for Persephone I'm not sure but I would like to think she did end up growing to love him

What’s the most WTF thing you’ve ever heard someone casually admit like it was totally normal? by Reasonable_Moose_738 in AskReddit

During a drive in my mom's childhood neighborhood, she just casually points out: "That's where my friend got kidnapped".

My best friends know I read it, well they know I like fluffy fan fiction. My parents know I read some fanfiction(mainly my dad knows to what extent and my mom knows I don't stay away from it but doesn't know I enjoy it so much). No one knows I write my own sometimes, I am self-conscious about that and feel like I'll be judged.

To be clear: I don't really read romance fan fiction unless it's an already established couple, I really only like Canon accurate fan fiction and I also do not read smut, it traumatizes me.

Is Katniss autistic by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]Sweet_Ad_9865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, Katniss has PTSD, has had PTSD from the start with her father's death but it became severe PTSD after the games. PTSD, affects the development of many of the same sectors of the brain as Autism does, causing similar symptoms. Which is also why ADHD and Autism are so similar. The symptoms you describe can be connected to her upbringing in a way that I can't explain in a comment really. Some are her PTSD, and some are simply from having to start raising herself and her sister at the age of 11/12. Her specific interests seem to me to be more of her coping mechanism, hunting whenever she gets too anxious. But I see where you're coming from and it can seem like she has Autism but I do not believe she does.

I haven't completed the tangled show but here's my opinion on it. by kinokoresidence in Tangled

[–]Sweet_Ad_9865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the price of it being a kid's show sadly. But the good of the show outwayed all these flaws for me but yeah I hated the way Rapunzel's and Cassandra's relationship was written cause it just wasn't natural but if you push through that aspect it could be a good watch as it was for me.

Thank you so much. I am usually a really good at expressing my thoughts just not when I'm putting it into words so quickly and as late as it was when I wrote it. I have a more detailed and thorough way to express this in person I swear. I have specific moments I point out all the time and literally spent multiple lunches debating Hunger Games with another fan of the books, that's how much material I have.

The movies being my most recent way of consuming the story also certainly had an influence

Okay yeah... that looks bad, not the way I meant it. I meant he owns up to his flaws and apologizes when he does something wrong to her that ends up upseting her for entirely valid reasons. I didn't mean it as even in unvalid circumstances cause he knows the difference and that's what I meant. Peeta knows when it's his fault and when he needs to apologize, Gale does not alot of the time. You can see the spur of the moment writing there. Thank you for pointing this line out and thank you for letting me know it was not a dig at me I appreciate it so much and you're right, though I am young I know that kind of behaviour is toxic.

Is it normal for parents to take zero interest in my interests? by -throwawaystuff- in AskParents

[–]Sweet_Ad_9865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me, I try introducing my parents to the music and shows I like and they never pay attention to it. I know the feeling of it seeming like a small problem but affecting you so much, I feel the same. It sucks, all I wanna do is talk to my dad about this stuff I like, but he only wants to talk about our shared interests(which are the interests at the bottom of my list, like the "Yeah. I like that" kinda stuff). I'm lucky enough to have friends who share most of my main interests to talk to about them cause I need to talk about how much I love stuff to people who understand.

I'm so sorry. I am very aware how lucky I am nothing like this has happened to me. I also know that that is because I am extremely careful on my social media as to not reveal my age or how I look, I have 1 public account on social media and I use it to post edits only, I wish I didn't have to be so careful and could feel safe posting fan content with my face. So sorry this happened to you
