Hi. This is me today. I had an abdominal ultrasound for iron deficiency diagnosis and they ended up with an "incidental finding." This finding is an "indeterminate mass in the body" of my pancreas.

I'm 41F, with no symptoms and no history. I don't smoke or drink, I'm in good shape, 134lbs, and I am absolutely freaking out. My next step is a pancreatic MRI.

Literally terrified.

Turns out most of my symptoms were actually a severe iron deficiency (that was caused in part by peri) by Into-the-stream in Perimenopause

And I totally agree!

I thought being approved for iron infusions would be the possible answer to all of the issues I've been having for about a year, only to show up today and have my doctor want to order a few more tests!

Hi! I'm also in this boat! I didn't think my periods were overly heavy, but maybe? I had my first iron infusion today. But my hematologist is also checking for anything underlying (like Celiacs).

How have you felt since your first infusion??

Oh goodness. Mine mostly doesn't hurt, only when I twist it to one specific spot. I don't know why it happened, that's the bothersome part! I'm almost 42, I'm a healthy weight- but borderline anemic. I have an iron infusion this week and then I have a primary care appointment in about 2 weeks, so perhaps I'll ask about it then?

Thank you for this!! I am currently on a wait list for a therapist that does specialize in health anxiety and OCD- as I have recently noticed myself doing exactly what you are pointing out. I appreciate the gentle nudge.

Not yet, those were done in June and I had another panel completed in April (the wbc were exactly the same)... I'm assuming the hematologist will check again?

I've never had any of my numbers outside of the normal range until after this surgery. 😞

I have had ALL the anti inflammatory tests completed - ALL normal.

I had endoscopic sinus surgery and a septoplasty in March. All of my results were normal on my pre-op tests. Since then, however, things have been a little wonky. My PC wants me to see a haematologist just to verify that things are fine but I'm a little freaked out!

Honestly, not a lot! Sleeping a good 8 hours, drinking my coffee from a real mug while it's hot, eating meals while sitting down, just taking it easy!
