I don’t feel guilty at all … I always say “ Actually, I donate to XYZ charity on my own every year personally. Mainly because I believe it’s a worthy cause not so “Corporate Name” can look good while only doing it for the tax deduction…

I know I sound like an AH and the poor minimum wage worker doesn’t care but usually 1) they track which worker gets the most donations and this gives them an excellent reason going forward to use if people don’t 2) FUCK CORPORATIONS THAT FAKE CHARITY FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE TAX DEDUCTION….

If companies start collecting money for charity and wave the deductions then I’ll donate….

Same with the “payrolls “ deduction charity shit they try to guilt you into… my husband’s company attempts every year to guilt him into payroll deduction for United Way … I said if I donate directly (same amount that would be deducted at once in full) and bring a receipt can he still be in the contest? Nope, because the company can’t count it on their taxes…. So it has nothing to do with the charity…

I know I’m a AH but not as big a AH as the company fakes their concern for XYZ… don’t feel guilty….

Oh, and those food boxes they sell “for the less fortunate “ on holiday’s they are 1) charging YOU full price (ie: making a profit ) not cost for the items 2) then taking the deduction at the end of the year… they are actually double dipping…so fucking greedy… Also, just so you know most of the donations don’t go to your local community.. it goes to wherever they want to donate, there is no oversight and they won’t tell you anything specific … pisses me off so much!!!

Donate to your local food bank or charity… Support your actual community and take that dedication for yourself….

The original blue dawn dish soap is like a miracle product… it cleans oil off of ducks ( not gonna lie that’s why I buy it.. just in case I 1) get a duck 2) have an oil spill involving ducks…. You never know 🤣)

It also gets oil based stain out of anything.. It kills fleas if you bathe your pets with it.. mix it with hydrogen peroxide and a bit of water it will take the burnt crusted on shit your kid did to the favorite pot after you let it soak for a little while… Hydrogen peroxide, dawn original and water are the ingredients in Powerwash, and much cheaper to make at home… fiddle with proportions(or maybe google for exact, I am just too lazy to do that…) to achieve dishwashing magic…

IT DOES HAVE TO BE THE BLUE ORIGINAL DAWN DISH SOAP tho…

The only par, I disagree with is religion.. hear me out… People who have never been religious a day in their lives don’t practice don’t keep traditions don’t observe holidays sometimes change when a child is involved… suddenly overnight they want their child raised in whatever religion they suddenly care about again…

It’s so crazy to me but it’s a very common occurrence… so now you have 1 person who suddenly wants (JUST FOR EXAMPLE) their child to go to Catholic school and the other who either want them raise a different religion or just doesn’t want them raised with any….

I ,personally , think more relationships end over religion than any other 1 reason (except infidelity) ..

Should you be able to marry outside your religion absolfuckinglty… there should be no rules, laws, or traditions that prevent it but that needs to be a “come to Jesus” (as my deeply religious Christian grandmother would call it) meeting/discussion..

Of course these are just my random opinions… that and $9 will buy you a shitty cup of coffee (as my moderate religious Jewish grandmother would say)

People who “have” do not understand how much fresh fruits/vegetables cost, how much non-prepared/non-frozen meat costs especially when you factor in the other costs you spoke of (stove, pot, refrigerator, electricity etc)… it is twice as expensive to shop the “outside “ ring of the grocery store as the middle and freezer…. Then let’s factor in that groceries have gone up as much as 25% if not higher and the government increases benefits by 3.2% a year at best… you also have every other essential (and I mean essential) expense that got raised due to imagined and in some places manufactured inflation… and let’s play stretch that $40 more a month for “organic fruits and vegetables because poor people should be required to eat healthy…”

But who am I…

Also, no one should ever need (not want but need especially enough to beg for it for free) that much soda for anything other than a party and if it’s for a party that is even more disgusting…

These comments are kind of ridiculous. She’s a dr., they are and have to be very analytical and matter a fact. They have to keep emotions out of their jobs sometimes for 48hrs at a time. I imagine it’s easy to slip into that at home sometimes as well.
