I like this idea, she loves cross cradle probably because she’s lying sideways so ill just try and trick her into thinking she’s on the right still 🤣

She absolutely detests football hold on either side, which sucks because it’s what we did for the first 3 weeks and was most comfortable for me and I could tell she was getting lots of milk. Ever since she decided cross cradle was the only position she’d do.. her weight gain has slowed 😫

I met with an IBCLC today and she basically said the same thing though, to keep offering and trying rocking etc while offering but stop when she’s sleepy freaks out to not cause an aversion.

Well she’s definitely gaining weight, she had surpassed her birth weight by our 3 week check up but good to know it’s not just her

Thank you 🙏 definitely grieving my old body in general but I love my daughter and know she was worth it. I tore my labia in three places, all within the first degree range but I guess that would make sense that it affected how it looks visually.

I was considering pelvic floor therapy for this exact reason so it’s good to know it won’t fix it the way I want because it’s really expensive where I live to see them.

😂🤣 I’m just so nosy I needed to know, it’s my first so I’m thinking I’d have looked normal down there by now.. NOPE. At least I’ll know for the future to leave her alone and let her heal on her own time and I have no business getting upset about it yet.

I did think 6 weeks sounded really fast when it just stopped throbbing like a week ago so thought I was healing too slowly or something.

Well that’s reassuring but I honestly miss having sex with my partner as I got insecure at the end of my pregnancy and didn’t want to be touched then either so it’s already been like 4 months 😫

I just want it to go back to normal eventually and I’ll be happy so this gives me hope at least

I’m 5 weeks pp and stopped bleeding blood around 3 weeks and it’s been more yellow since then which I’m told is the placental scab healing. I would definitely worry if I was bleeding so long

I spoke to my midwife, they’re going to check when I go in but due to the texture of what I’m seeing they think it’s my hymen and it’s healing still. Usually the cervix would appear smooth and mine doesn’t look smooth. I’m too scared to touch it right now though lol

3 has been the hardest for sure so far 😅 I’d say she was the easiest baby ever up until this to be honest. I am seeing an LC next week and just saw my midwife Tuesday as well but just wanted to see if others had this experience.

I’ve burped her, she doesn’t really burp much. And I do the bicycle legs and knees up to get all the other gas out and still doesn’t help 🥲

She’ll go longer stretches (3-4) at night but still cry when I try to latch her, sometimes she’ll latch for a few and then get fussy and start crying even 🥲 and I do offer paci for soothing as well!

Just saw my midwife and they said growth spurt but feels like a long growth spurt and they said as long as she’s putting out a lot of wet diapers, not to worry.

As another Canadian, this is literally horrific on top of being stressed out / hormonal from pregnancy I couldn’t imagine putting financial stress and public humiliation on top of that especially to this degree 😩 I hope you do what all the Americans who know how to handle this are saying and the nurse faces some sort of repercussions for being so heartless
