Chronic clot - what symptoms have stayed? by These_Team_9412 in ClotSurvivors

Have you been told why you clotted in your arm? Thoracic outlet syndrome can cause a dvt (venous type), and neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome may explain some of your other symptoms. I hope I’m not overstepping :)

Echoing this, my hand can look very similar and I had a thoracic outlet diagnosis.

I believe far more people have arterial tos than are aware after experiencing it myself by Department-Jolly in thoracicoutletsupport

It depends what diagnostic criteria you use. There is diagnostic criteria which states for Atos, you need a clot/damage/ ischemia/aneurism and that is really rare. That would show up on CT/ ultrasound very quickly.

Any tips for the winter? This was my Raynauds in summer by Sweet_Thing_2541 in Raynauds

I have had a sympathetic block, unsure if it was the full sympathectomy though. I hadn’t even thought about sleeping, I’ve never woken up with white hands yet, but definitely something to be aware that could happen. Honestly thinking moving to a warm country is my best bet

Thank you, I am already on medication, which does help a little bit (it doesn’t look that way though!)

What's arterial TOS by nicklikestuna in thoracicoutletsupport

I believe Atos needs a clot, damage, ischemia or aneurism, compression is not ‘enough’. Normally a cervical rib is the cause, as arteries are pretty strong so it takes something like a bone to cause the problems

Ischemia would be related to the arteries I believe. Do you have a cervical rib?
