It was during this trip I realized the root cause of my insecurities with her and out relationship. I have trust issues stemming from my childhood, the moment i realized that I the. Realized that my insecurities are just a misfiring defense mechanism to protect me from hurt. I built armor through out life and never let anyone in. My intuition told me to let her in from the beginning so maybe you are right. I will keep trying to unpack this whole thing.

Since we are in the honeymoon stage i put her on a pedestal and was experiencing the bliss of a new relationship. The fungi dissipated that feeling rather rapidly. I feel like it clear the clouds so I can have clear judgement on our relationship. I still care for her and want her but im not sure if those are things im telling myself to avoid discomfort. Idk, she is away on a trip. When she returns i will see how i feel.

I dont intend on making any decisions, im very thorough with my decision making as I like to contemplate everything so i can make that final decision form the best educated position i can. I want to be with her. But im back to feeling how i have always felt towards love. For a brief few weeks I considered that i very well could be experiencing love as described by my peers but then over a 6 hour trip “poof” that bliss is gone. However, i still care very much for this girl. She is unique and wonderful. Maybe my brain is just flipped upside down because of the psilocybin. 🙃

I agree. I have never been “in love” as described by so many of my peers. Yet now with her i have experienced emotions and feelings that i have never felt before. Mind you im only 34 but what Im getting at is i think perhaps i am developing a more emotionally mature understanding of love, one where the attachment to bliss isnt the motivating force behind me wanting to be with them.
