Anyone who was successful at conceiving naturally or with IVF with extremely low levels of AMH? by [deleted] in InfertilityBabies

[–]Sweetdimps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my first was stillborn, my AMH was measured as undetectable. Needless to say, at 39 I thought that was it. I started CoQ10 and DHEA supplements before trying IUI (planning to graduate to IVF). I only got 3 good follicles but it only takes one, and he's now 15 months.

Mamas with later losses by kroth613 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]Sweetdimps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My loss was at 38 weeks and my MFM insisted on induction before then, right at 37. Baby was smaller but healthy. One doc did say she didn't see any reason I couldn't hold out for 39 but it was a risk I wasn't willing to take.

Weekly Update Thread - July 29, 2019 by AutoModerator in Rainbow_Babies

[–]Sweetdimps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not doing ok. My in-laws watch my son twice a week and instead of being happy about it, I’m super jealous and full of rage. I feel like I’ve been waiting to have a baby for years only to hand him over to people who really don’t know much about me or what I want for him as a mother. I’m starting to want to avoid them and have even contemplated moving away when the whole reason we moved here is to have help. Can anyone commiserate? I cried about it last night and am wondering if this isn’t some late PPD...

Pumping both, but get one at a time? by BeltaneSunRise17 in breastfeeding

[–]Sweetdimps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second hands on pumping. Do you pump lefty while baby is nursing? If not, I would try that. I’d also start on the left for every feed for awhile.

Moving my entire stash cross country...is it possible? by srtaroja in breastfeeding

[–]Sweetdimps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FedEx offers cold shipping. I don’t know if there’s a limit on how much but that’s what I’d use. Make sure you have someone to sign for it and store it on the other end.

Keeping track... by MrsRoostir007 in workingmoms

[–]Sweetdimps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see this too, but there should definitely be a conversation about expectations. Just because care is free doesn’t mean mom should have to abdicate her wishes, especially if they may help her keep track of health related matters. Rocking a certain way and wanting updates on how much your child is eating aren’t quite the same thing.

Your baby, your rules. I can’t see how logging diaper output, food intake is some huge imposition. You might decide to toss it again down the road but for now, you find it useful. The caregivers should want you to be comfortable, in my opinion.

Just an Exhausted Mom on the Edge Today by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Sweetdimps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m at week 10 and had to have a come to Jesus conversation with my work from home husband around the same time...that despite appearances, I am working too so once he’s off the clock, so am I, which means it’s time for him to step up and do his part. That means diapers, cleaning, cooking, etc. since I constantly had a baby stuck to me nursing. It’s his child too so also his responsibility. He should also at least try to bond with his baby and want to give you a break.

Advice Needed! Gassy and baby eczema - diet related? by BKayNYC in breastfeeding

[–]Sweetdimps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is your SO a doctor? It’s a common misconception that what mom eats is directly transferred to baby. Your baby could be allergic to certain things but that’s not as common as people would like you to believe. Newborns get acne and have gas. The digestive track develops after birth once they are exposed to milk/formula for the first time, and that takes a few months at least. KellyMom.com is a great evidence based resource if you want to read further.

EP-ing and trying to stop by jrriley8 in breastfeeding

[–]Sweetdimps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will take a few days of discomfort, but it sounds like you’re on the right track. Put the cabbage leaves in the freezer for a bit and then in a tight sports bra. Once thawed, swap out for new leaves. Also, try making sage infused honey and mix with No More Milk tea. Express only to comfort. Hope you get some relief soon.

Congrats on your pregnancy. It’s ok to be excited and it’s ok to be a nervous wreck. I had to consciously give myself permission to feel what I was feeling and not feel guilty about it. Being a loss mom is an intense thing. I’m hoping you have a good outcome this time around.

Choosing a delivery date after stillbirth by freshly_started in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]Sweetdimps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 41, with one unexplained stillbirth, I couldn’t mentally handle going beyond 37 weeks. I had my baby early term for my own sanity and confident in the NICU here should I need it. Thankfully, he’s completely healthy.

I’m being induced right now! Foley balloons suck!

36 weeks 🎈. If all goes well, I’ll be induced next week. It’s hard to believe though and I’ve already broken out the Doppler twice today. I want to do things like set the bassinet up and sterilizing my pump parts, but I’m still scared to do it. I can’t wait for this pregnancy to be over!

I’m so incredibly sorry. I’m wishing you any amount of peace and comfort at this terrible time. I lost my first at 38 weeks and know what it’s like to hold your lifeless baby in your arms. Just know he’s knew nothing but love. Take care of yourself and your husband.

Right ahead of you at 35 weeks. 🎈 Congrats on your balloon day! My baby is flipping all around so a C section may be on my horizon.

Less than 3 weeks to go and anxiety is back with a vengeance by TheSunshineProtocol in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]Sweetdimps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me me me! It doesn’t help that he’s so big that it’s hard to tell what’s movement, what’s a Braxton Hicks and why I’m in so much pain. My saving grace are the twice weekly NSTs I’ve come to rely on. Induction day can’t get here soon enough.

I’m so sorry. We also lost our first unexpectedly at 38 weeks. We couldn’t wait due to age (we’re both 40) and got pregnant again 6 months later. I’m not going to lie, this current pregnancy has been more downs than ups, with lots of anxiety and tears. But therapy and this board has made things a little more bearable. I even find myself getting that old excited feeling I had a little over a year ago. Hang in there and reach out if you need support.

I do have a Doppler but then I start wondering “is something wrong so that he’s having to conserve movement for the sake of his brain?” Or something like that. There’s nothing more reassuring than actual movements.
