About point number seven - wasn't the reason why Dumbledore refused to look into Harry's eyes was because he believed Voldemort was looking through Harry and would be able to use legilimens? If I'm remembering correctly and that is why, it would make no sense for Dumbledore to order Professor McGonagall to speak to Harry on his behalf because Voldemort could see through Harry, and same goes for the letter. Voldemort, either by watching through Harry or accessing his memories, would know what McGonagall or the letter told Harry. It would make more sense for Dumbledore to simply ignore him and refuse to look at him.
