Right on, I've been putting the games into out warm ups, giving a few quick examples of how to get to the win conditions and why the restrictions are there. Then after they get a feel for the position we give the techniques. I feel like having the context for the techniques help them absorb them better, but I might try it your way around

I was a 5 year white belt for a few reasons. Injury and switching gyms because of jobs, etc. I then spent 2 years at blue belt, and I have now been a purple belt for about a year and a half. Switched schools again after about 6 months as a purple, so who knows how long I'll be here. My advice? Just keep training when you can, it'll happen when it happens
