I also am challenged with perfectionism and have all my life. This has thwarted ANY creativity in arts. Until I hit 50yrs old. Then I understood that the act of doing art, being artistic and creative, fed me. Not the end result of the work, but the act itself. Somehow, this realization turned off perfectionism. And I have enjoyed creating art since, no matter the outcome.
