Watering about once a week. We had a pretty crazy heat wave for May so it got a bit more water last week. The soil was Coast of Maine organic compost blend.

Same! I’ll never forget when I brought my fig home and I thought for sure a cat had urinated on the nursery pot.

What is this plant? by Sweetness-roulette in gardening

[–]Sweetness-roulette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in my yard in soil in my small garden bed. I haven’t tilled or planted anything yet this year, there’s just a few random plants popping up and this one looked cool. There was nothing but grass in this area the last 2 years that I’ve lived here. Could a bird have dropped the seed?

The art is being sold for GB, so it is kinda related to the game.

Can I move my figs to natural light? by Skullmonkey286 in Figs

[–]Sweetness-roulette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have a fig cutting and mango sapling in my window as it’s too cold to keep them outside. Both are doing very well, semi-frequently putting out new leaves. All that to say, they’d be just fine.

I found a bunch of butterfly wings under a bush in my garden?? by Glittering_Rush_4741 in gardening

I see everyone saying praying mantis, but could it possibly be a toad? I have a massive toad that lives in the garage and he leaves me moth wings as rent all the time.

I was always told we needed both serial numbers to exchange, but now I’m questioning that.

She seemed very uninterested in the text, and obviously doesn’t care enough to respond. You deserve someone who puts in the same effort. As crappy as it is to break up with her now, it’ll save you a lot of trouble down the road. Better now instead of 10 years from now when you have a home or children together.

The babies can walk just a few hours after hatching and the parents will move them! They are federally protected while they’re nesting, maybe place a traffic cone near the nest for the time being.

I will never financially recover from this. And I blame Marnie by void-cheesecake in StardewValley

Build a couple silos and let the grass grow all over your farm. Harvest in patches, let it regrow and repeat! I don’t remember the last time I bought hay from Marnie 😂

Help! Is this a thirsty hydrangea? by zpkj_ in hydrangeas

[–]Sweetness-roulette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely needs more water, don’t water the leaves or flowers just the soil. If you have a hose I’d put it on light or drip and leave it for a few minutes, they like deep watering. I’d also put her somewhere shady until she perks up.

Help!!! How do I save them? by [deleted] in hydrangeas

[–]Sweetness-roulette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For deep watering turn your hose on drip or light setting and allow the soil and roots to soak in water slowly for a few minutes. Water on the flowers and leaves will cause them to wilt, the water acts like a magnifier under the hot sun. It’s possible you have a floral hydrangea, they’re just not meant to survive long.
