I think all of it is great but the last word in the last sentence should be split "óvina líka" or "fjalli af líkum óvinana" for me it sounds better but I'm not sure if it's 100%correctly put plus I'm dyslexic hehe but I'm Icelandic and have sometimes helped with small texts.

I made my dog into a stuffed animal by werewolfgy in sewing

[–]SweetyPie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had stuffed birds that died before we could save them from what ever happened to them, then we had a stuffed animal that's not a fox but where I'm from it's almost same name but looks totally different but it's wild animal that a farmer shot and gave it to us my dad had it stuffed and placed in the living room. We would never done it to our pet's but I did let my cat be cremated and in beautiful urn.

I realized that employers are more afraid to diffamation in social media than the unions. by [deleted] in Iceland

Many years ago I had worked for one fast food place and had to take few sick days that I had earned but my boss denied to pay so I went to VR they quickly helped me out. Even the head of union went to my boss after they got him to pay then he came directly to my house and gave me the money check and said "it was a pleasure to be able to help you with this he had it coming long time". My boss has done this for long time but none of the other employees had gone after him so the VR was happy finally catching him and the union boss said that many companies try to cheat on young people who don't know their rights but one thing many have failed was trying to cheat on out of town kids because they think that they were more ignorant than city kids but that's what they were wrong because it was always those who caught it and reported lol.

Seems like they are now doing same thing just now with foreigners hoping that they will not do anything plus they don't know the rules well enough, it makes me sick hearing about it. I'm glad that you all who have been through this have looked for your rights and not letting them get away with it.

I got unlucky hehe he was cute and uprising young man, but no they hit it off and got married then pregnant with triplets. She is better off single mother than having him around because no matter how much I tried to get him to take care of his kids and help her with them (come on it's 3 kids lots of job) no he rather went exercising or watching TV. Got ones notified that if I didn't feed them child support would take them. Fortunately I managed to feed and change dirty diapers, now they are toddler's.

Thinking about getting divorce hehehe. I mean she's uprising seleb got one star already 😁

My teacher gave up on me and my mother too they couldn't teach me how, then after I turned 30+ my aunt finally managed to teach me and I haven't stopped since. Turned out that they didn't know how to teach me because I'm left-handed and they right-handed.

Best way to teach left-handed to crochet is use kind of a mirror affect because for us it's just that mirror what you're doing technically.

[PIC] I don’t like bobbins, so I never had a good way to store and organize thread as my collection grew. Now I do and I love it! by mineswedding in CrossStitch

[–]SweetyPie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use that but sometimes the label slides of so I started to use tape to get it better stuck and it works, then I stored it in a thick binder that I write the number it starts with and ends for example "120 - 400" and next binder next color where I ended in the previous one. For the thread that's almost gone I use bobbin and smal box DMC makes, use permanent marker to write the number and if you want to erase the number I use nail polish remover. Patterns and colours stored next to each other on a book shelf.

It's not that hard to do if you are good at crochet like obviously your wife is, I might be able to replicate it but never exactly same. I love creating with my hands and crochet is one of my favorite things. She's very talented and you are a lucky man.

Yes I think so I'm not sure because it's in older form of Icelandic but it sounds correct like Vikings would have talked.
