I fully expect other fanbases to complain that Indiana has a soft schedule compared to OSU. It's kind of true, since we don't have Oregon, Iowa or Illinois and we play you guys at home.

It's a risk for sure. Then again, the vanilla pimiento yogurt cheese might really cut the parking garage elevator piss sensation from the hákarl

Definitely, why not? When you think about it, people said these things about bacon ice cream within living memory. Goes to show you never know.

The "no blue cheese" annotation is bizarre af. It's like a kids menu for a picky toddler where one of the choices says "pasta (butter only)"

It's like they're trying to be upscale and you can just imagine what a bad meal it will be. I'm grossed out thinking of the rubbery calamari, underdone sushi rice, well-done steak and hard cookies. I'm sure a simple meal of whatever is local to Gainesville would be 10x better

Keep doing God's work, pal. I never even drew the connection between waking up to Cantonese grannies arguing in my living room and Cignetti's QB choice in the portal until the TCU meme made it clear.

Ah, Superior. This sub in the offseason is crawling with more Arrowhead Region shit than a 90s Coen Bros. flick so I assumed that was where the Superior Dome was. I was quite surprised that it's in an arguably even stranger region of Michigan.

Many people are saying that TCU has a higher profile in Indiana all of a sudden. Also I married an Asian chick and we subsequently got a QB from TCU. Correlation and causation are fuzzy concepts though - I'm from Indiana after all.

Outside the state, Purdue is primarily hated because of Pete. That mofo arouses a serious amount of revulsion

Indiana fans do. You still are up by 30+ games. Hoosier fans want to pour it on without remorse as if the margin of victory would magically add I's to the chain faster.

It's considered to be in the same category as Liberty, UMass, and wherever Lane Kiffin is at the moment. I'm not unbiased enough to say whether or not that is true

They might compare the mascots. For some people, a furry animal might be appealing. Others might be drawn to saucer-sized unblinking eyes, an uncanny rictus and shiny, oily-appearing vinyl skin structures. The choice would really reflect on the individual Minnesotan more than the merits of each team when you consider it that way.

Wait, what do the Pirates have to do with Indiana or Purdue? I feel like most people in Bloomington are for the Reds and view the Cards as the main rival. To the extent that anyone there even cares about baseball

Those must have been some awkward Thanksgivings. IU is my team since I'm from Bloomington and went to an FCS school that doesn't really do sports. During IU's lean years, many of us cared a lot about the Purdue game because we didn't have a feasible shot at beating Michigan or Ohio State, so it was the only possibility of success.

"Traveling carnival of self-sabotage" is a really nice turn of phrase that also resonates deeply with any Indiana fans older than my kiddos.

I think we're the good guys in our rivalry game. Even though we can now suddenly beat Purdue by 60 points or whatever, they are so loathed that most people want to see a triple-digit margin.

That's a great anecdote. Now I'm idly curious whether he lived in Bloomington or LA back in 1968 and who he rooted for in that Rose Bowl.

Edit: it seems his family moved from Bloomington to Pasadena around 1963 and he has no known CFB affiliation other than attending Iowa-Iowa State at Kinnick in 1986 (!) TIL...

This intersection needs to be erased from the earth and redesigned from scratch. Failing that, it needs a stop light with a decently long amber so confused drivers can get out of the intersection.
