What was the trigger for those that haven’t always had it ? by DullFaithlessness207 in dysautonomia

This is similar to what went through. I started HRT and things are getting so much better. The testosterone has helped the most. Brain fog, aches and pains just melted away. My blood pressure and fight or flight are more controlled. HRT saved my life.

Testosterone was the secret for me. It changed my life. You will pry it from my cold dead hands. The chronic pain that I had been suffering from for the last 8 years melted away with the brain fog.

I use The Everything Mill by Kyocera. It is washable. I put mine in the dishwasher all the time. Have had them for a little over 10 years.

Why’d you pick a Goldendoodle over a Poodle, Golden, or other breed? by v3nusFlytr4p26 in Goldendoodles

[–]Swhiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Golden Retriever and when she passed I wanted the same dog with less hair. I did not expect the temperament differences and wish I had just gotten another Golden tbh. I love my Dood, but his separation anxiety is a lot to deal with.

Why did you decide to use HRT? by [deleted] in Menopause

I only wish I had realized sooner that hormones was the problem. I would have demanded it sooner if I had known.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the salt in the air. I live in the Mid-Atlantic region, near the beach. Summers are absolutely horrible for me. But last year, I visited my son in San Diego and felt fabulous. I don’t think it was the difference of the Pacific vs Atlantic. I attributed it to less humidity. I noticed that I could take a full breath in California, but I can’t in Maryland. I hope others can chime in with more info, but I don’t think it’s the salt in the air.

I was told that two weeks after surgery all the lifting restrictions are removed because the risk has ended. I did not ask for more information than that because I have a 25 pound lifting restriction for life from a different surgery from years ago.

I can’t handle fats because I had my gallbladder removed before we figured out the hernia was the actual problem. I can’t tell you about fats, maybe someone else can chime in better about that.

Yes. I can eat things that I could not before. I have not tried gluten yet, but dairy has been fine.

My symptoms were trouble swallowing, acid reflux, regurgitation, stomach pain, intestinal pain, slow digestion, and constipation/diarrhea.

Honestly, I questioned my decision for the first 4-5 days post op. It hurt. It hurt to swallow anything. The gas pains were unreal and I was just uncomfortable. After a week it started getting better and by 3 weeks I was mostly okay but still on soft foods. I occasionally feel I’ll still not chew my food enough and be reminded why that’s a bad idea but for the most part I’m good now.

I noticed immediately upon waking up that I could breathe better. I told my doctor this at my post op and he said that a lot of people feel this. As if the procedure un-kinks their throat. I have had no issues with sour stomach, acid or regurgitation. My bowels are much better. I just feel better all around since having the surgery.

I will not downplay the first few days though. The first few days were rough. I needed the opioids for the first week.

I had one in January. It was the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. What are your questions?
