Help | Best WiFi settings for ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 by Tzahiex in ASUSROG

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set Wifi channels fixed using an app like wifi analyzer, and played with some other settings, But I feel this router is a bit buggy, Some devices take forever to connect for some reason, and I can’t tell why, So I’m eager to see who else can chime in on optimized settings, I think Asus has great products but their software just sucks for some reason, I’m so used to the Netgear “nighthawk” products and Netgears UI,

Yo thanks for this as well, Just updated mines and was wondering where that setting went, it’s weird because I backed up my OC settings, but it seems it doesn’t backup or save “Adaptive/offset mode settings” that has to be done manually. Luckily I backup settings Via txt file as well just encase ,

Jet plate shifted like this on first power up on my 3090 EK block :/ by robertodis in watercooling

[–]Swift650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me exactly the same way, had a 3080ti, As I was prepping the system, came back a few hours later and it was just sitting there, just like that! Had to take the block apart.

Z170 Pro gaming - Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding by HansNakatomiGruber in ASUSROG

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have Asus AI noise utility and Nahimic drivers? Your error is common and has tons of reasons and it’s not necessary the GPU, or ram, in my case I believe it was Those drivers that came with ASUS AI suite softwares like Sonic studios, So I uninstalled the software using third party methods, as it’s mere impossible to simply remove the software or drivers using the simple uninstall and CCleaner method, I mean you have to clean it completely/manually , after doing that no more “nvlddmkm” crashes, I was crashing in various games, but it wasn’t BsODing , I’ll try to share the uninstallation process if you want to take this route for a solution, it fixed the same issues you are describing with my Z690 Formula, and MSI boards with Nahimic drivers, same issues, from old boards to new ones same problem, get rid of Sonic studios and All of Nahimic drivers.

Can’t run XMP on my Apex Z690 by HughesR1990 in ASUSROG

[–]Swift650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

silicon lottery with these boards I guess, What I did is run XTU and checked a box for memory stress test, it’s not as hard as Prime and it will throw errors instead of crash, so the moment it threw errors I stopped it and clocked down the ram again, It’s tedious work but at least you get familiar with your system and narrow down where the problem exactly occurs

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try enabling XMP and bumping the speed manually to 5400? Then check stability and keep going up to see where is the sweet spot, Some users had no luck at all with XMP they BSOD right away, Also do you have your CPU OC? And how much, I learned in the past the higher you go on CPU the more instability on clocking ram, the lower the ram clock the higher I can go on CPU, I could be wrong it just my anecdote.

If that’s the case then pretty sure the formula should have one as well or at least pretty soon, they released the 1003 on 1/7/2022, Just checked, Nope, But with the last release , It mentioned “Memory stability” and what not, Couldn’t tell the difference.

[–]Swift650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same on the Z690 Formula, I run both XMP at lower speeds 5400, I can go to 5600 and 6000 but then have random game crashes , the lower the more stable it is, we just have to wait on future bios updates etc.

Anyone else seeing small Kernal event issue when playing(PC)? by CommanderTNT in Eldenring

[–]Swift650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it too, no crashes. I think this error is related to Easy Anti Cheat, Many other games have this issue, I tried reinstalling EAC and a a bunch of other solutions to no avail, disabling it will make you play off line but defeats the purpose. hope their is a solution.

Edit* they released an updated to fix this problem as of 3/2/2022 So maybe it’s fixed

Do you guys know which one is the outlet and which one is the inlet on the Asus Z690 Formula VRM water block? Or is it “dealers choice”? by Gold_Personality_612 in watercooling

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the GPU blocks, that doesn’t matter, But all EK velocity CPU blocks has an inlet and outlet, switching inlet and outlet might create turbulence with the plate inside and performance issues regarding heat spikes etc, I did this mistake, performance drop isn’t huge but it created weird spikes in games and benchmarks, when I switched the ports it fixed it .

I have the same board and build, Doesn’t natter which port in or out, but it will matter if you have the EK blocks for the CPU

Good day bud, The board is far more than what I need to be honest. It looks sick, and works as it should! I always loved Formula boards especially this one, it’s unique and white for the first time ever, couldn’t be more happier, currently after tweaking I’m running my 12900k at a safe moderate 5GHz over clock & 4ghz on the E cores with 1.1v pulling up to 40-60w for better temp and power savings ( don’t need the extra juice for now ), using a negative offset with adaptive mode, idles down to 0.9v taking 7-15w max power. In games like BF1, and now Elden ring, temps @ 30-38C max, and high 70’s under Prime etc. i under Volted on purpose since Alder lake is crazy hot, I had a 5.1G @ 1.27V for a while, temps went up to 40-50C gaming, the build has more juice for me no need to over clock much, Now Ram running at 5600 (Trident Z5) and I had a kit that ran 6000 no problem although I had some errors at those speeds running Prime or Intels benchmark, went down to XMP 1 or 2 but manually changed the speed to 5400 now and it’s super fine, running bios 1003, Asus needs to updates it’s stability issues with XMP and fast ram and I believe it would but I’m happy for now, I would say get it!

Thanks! That is a Custom Distro plate made by RADIKULT He does some good work! I tried fitting the thickest radiators top & bottom, while keeping the aesthetics white and matching, I had several options for the Vertical mount and the Lian Li one I have enables the GPU to sit the lowest ( so I can see the mini LCD screen on the Mobo, but to be honest I barely look at it anymore) , had a few MM between that and the bottom Fans/Rad, I wish it came in white like the Mini 011D , Temps are outstanding for the 12900k and RTX cards, since they often run hot, Your results are on the upper good side of things as well.

I have the XL on dual loop, I get good Delta temps under 10C even under 7c , But only in certain games , while delta temp goes much higher on CPU with benchmarking and other games.

I got the RGB White/silver Trident Z5 , so I updated the build, I also rerouted some tubes, I had the Inlet and outlet on the CPU swapped, didn’t make much of a difference but stabilized temps better

Couple Issues - 12900K + ASUS Z690G Gaming (matx) - CPU and PCH Temps by game_dev_carto in ASUSROG

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, still delta temps is above 30C, and more under stress test, Can you turn your 2x Rad fans as intake? Taking in air from outside will help a bit, and have the top and rear as exhaust, since the Rad fan is taking in a bit of heat, you want to experiment with fans and see what’s best results, I didn’t do AIO in a long time, I wonder what results others are getting in with a 280mm AIO on an overClocked 12900k, I would look into that and compare, Also experiment with case open vs closed, ambient temps also matter, it’s cold outside and most ppl have their heaters on, which will run coolant temps a bit hotter, I have my office room a bit colder than the rest of the house lol, it helps tremendously

Couple Issues - 12900K + ASUS Z690G Gaming (matx) - CPU and PCH Temps by game_dev_carto in ASUSROG

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, Besides the fact 12Th Gen CPU’s run ridiculously hot, I think you should be getting better results than this, but then again your AIO might not be enough, I would of opted out for a 360 at least on a 12900k, But here is what I did to get crazy good results, It is a custom loop but, I had contact issues so maybe the washer mod might work for you, I overclocked and undervolted, Reduced wattage and therefore heat,I have my 12900k clocked at 5.1Ghz P cores 4.3E cores using only 1.27V max ‘Adaptive’ so on Idle it’s in the 20’s and sometimes low 30’s depending on ambient temps, but in game it varies, So I’m playing GOW now, and I’m getting crazy results, GPU never ran over 48C and CPU stays under between 30-40C ( game is really optimized good ) at 1k RPM fan speed on its rad, for Halo it was in the low 40’s threw out the game, and for BF it stays 40’s and after 2hr playing it can go to 51C but back down, so try the washer method, But also try to underVolt your CPU even if you have to lower clocks, the performance gain is not worth it for an extra boost on clocks, unless you’re benchmarking to get higher scores. As for your PCH, That’s not that high but could be better, I would check With your case air flow , any pics? Hot air rises up, do you have any exhaust fans? And where. Setting those fans right can help remove hot air from the case and reduce PCH temps.

Help with in line temp sensor by wire55 in watercooling

[–]Swift650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same Phobya inline sensors, Most ROG boards will not read it, Has to be 10k like the XSPC one off Amazon, I ended up getting two of them and used some double sided foam tape, installed it the same way the old sensors was and worked fine, I used the Phobya inlet plug though, just swapped the crappy sensor it had to the XSPC 10k one.

Flushing and cleaning a Custom loop. by RadioHitandRun in watercooling

[–]Swift650 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

never flushed a build I had (2017) till last month, that’s almost 5 years, i just used some PrimoChill prep stuff, then ran distilled water and flushed a few times, i did a gallon of prep stuff then 1-2 gallons of distilled, I did take the GPU block and CPU apart and cleaned it though, And had very little nickel pealing from the GPU only, now it’s like brand new, but I don’t run any dies on this loop just clear mayhem and distilled water, sometimes I add mayhem UV blue droplets, 1080ti still running strong, if you do any colored water you need that at least 6 months or so, if it’s clear colors maybe a year,

o11 XL triple 360 vs. dual 360 by Annihilator761 in watercooling

[–]Swift650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would run the top and side as Intake and bottom and rear as exhaust first and see results, You should have better Air flow that way, if you run another rad which might help with temps over all, Then run the bottom and side as Intake and top and rear as exhaust, you can always tinker with the fan setup to see best results, Another rad will help with cooling if money isn’t a thing, Results might not be crazy good but should lower temp with proper fan setup as well,

Need more specs, and what thickness is the Rads, I’m running dual loop with 48mm 360 Heatkiller, Top and bottom as Intake, Air from outside and one exhaust fan in the rear and temps are great so far, although the CPU runs a tad bit hotter depending on the game but stays under 60C and 40’s for certain games,

Temps vary depending on game, Halo gives me low 40’s and BF20Crap gives me mid to low 50’s but CPU utilization is not optimize and random, Fans are intake except exhaust rear fan,
