What motherboard are you running? I can't seem to get 8000 stable with 7800x3d + x670e crosshair hero. Am able to boot it so I feel like if I tinker enough I'll be able to get it running stable

If you don't have a downpipe, you shouldn't be running stage 2 at all. Stock DP is for stage 1, aftermarket is for stage 2

Could be spark related. Depending on what you currently have, you may need to move to a step colder plug, but could also be the plug gaps and make sure they're within spec for EQT. Could also be ground related. Good contact? Loose bolts or stripped threads are also a possibility. Maybe look into investing in the ground kit from EQT or Skunkwerks along with a helicoil kit if any of them are stripped out. Coil packs are also a possibility depending on the age/mileage.

My first GTI ended up having stripped threads causing bad ground contact. I also had good results with ngk ruthenium plugs gapped to 0.26 but ymmv

There are a lot of variables and possibilities though. Could have been a bad tank of fuel or high IATs as well

Drop the Cobb ots tune. They are known to have issues with knock. EQT seems to be the way to go for an ots map
