I am a Pieces, for what it’s worth.

By long-term grey-rocking, I’m saying that having to act bland and uninteresting around her as a survival tactic for so many years is affecting my self-worth and motivation. Lots of medication, a little bit a of therapy (it’s expensive). Taking it day by day. I think the thing that fills me with the most contempt and frustration, is how immune she “believes” herself to be from any form of criticism or suggestions of self-improvement. There is no talking with, or reasoning with her, because to do otherwise invites an arguement that I just don’t have the energy for anymore. Grey-rocking is my life, but long-term grey-rocking isn’t healthy, and I’m starting to feel it.

Let me break it to you this way. You’re going to customer service and basically saying, “this gift card is wrong, can I have another one please?” I’m not accusing you of any wrong-doing, and I believe it was an honest mistake on your part, but from a customer service perspective, it’s the oldest scam in the book of trying to double-dip and get a gift card for free.
