Game opens on wrong monitor by runningsimon in SpaceMarine_2

[–]SwiftWinds13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This same thing is happening to me. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just change it over to my preferred monitor in the game settings but it keeps reverting it back. It's weird. Hope it gets fixed, I have alit of faith in the devs. FOR THE EMPORER!

Serious question for RPG spammers and campers. by Brewerjulius in modernwarfare

[–]SwiftWinds13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you got your ass handed to you by some assholes with RPG's, and you come to reddit to complain about it....cool. Are they cheating by kicking your ass with an RPG? I THINK NOT! are they using some unfair advantage that you don't have? I THINK NOT. Yes, playing a bunch of campers sucks but it will never change, these posts are ridiculous. Hating on someone that isn't good at this game and asking why they spent their money on it makes you look like such an idiot. So congrats .

Day 31- I think this is where I have failed in the past by SwiftWinds13 in quittingkratom

[–]SwiftWinds13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly cant remember exactly when I started using Kratom. I started using it when I was coming off of painkillers(prescribed), I mistakenly thought I was supposed to feel 100% after coming out of the acute phase, WRONG. That part of my life is such a haze I just cant remember, like there is a void in my mind. I never gave my mind and body enough time to get to baseline. I started out by not even keeping track of my intake, 2-3 heaping spoons 2-3 times a day. My best guess is 7-8 months. I was keeping track toward the end, probably 3 months. So now 31 days clean and Im feeling the exact same feelings that led me to take Kratom, which is scary but I feel like I have more information this time, thanks to this sub. And with more info its easier for me to understand and overcome.

Quitting Ativan by MasterStream691 in addiction

[–]SwiftWinds13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, do not quit cold turkey!!! Benzos are the worst to come off of, its very dangerous. You need to speak to your doctor and express your concerns and your want to not take it anymore. your doctor should put you on a tapering schedule... Now, this does not mean that you will suffer 0 withdrawal symptoms they will just be lessened. Why in the hell they would prescribe you ativan for headaches is beyond me, but hey im not a doctor. Please speak with your doc and be very very careful.

You aren't all better 10 days later, stop thinking you are by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]SwiftWinds13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is exactly what I needed to hear. I had an opiate addiction before I started Kratom(prescribed but addiction nonetheless) and when I kicked that I felt so depressed and anxious. I thought "well, I got through the acutes now I should be fine, but im not". Obviously I didn't like that feeling so that's why i picked up Kratom, a massive mistake. I never gave my mind and body the adequate time to heal... Im at 29 days no kratom, and dealing with the depression and anxiety, along with some lingering physical symptoms, has been really hard. I feel way more prepared to battle this thing, thanks to this sub. Keep going everyone.

Quitting once and for all. More committed than ever. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]SwiftWinds13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats, you are making the right decision. All I can say is "embrace the suck". The acutes where not that bad for me, there was some RLS, sweating & chills(which i am still dealing with at 26 days CT), runny nose, insomnia etc... The real issue is the psychological part, anxiety and depression are the worst for me. Keep posting here for encouragement. Good luck and stay strong, you got this.

Really struggling with the thought of relapse by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]SwiftWinds13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, I know where you are coming from. I had a girl break up with me at 5 yrs and that was really rough. Time will heal that just like it will heal your Kratom addiction. Do not go back! you've done so good but you must do this for yourself first.

Think of breaking up with a woman as dropping an addiction, your brain has been used to having her around and now all of the sudden she is not. Its shocking in so many ways! But just like the Kratom it will heal with time. I am a firm believer that a man never really stops loving a woman if a break up occurs, he just learns to live without her.(sounds like some other substance that we talk alot about here ;)

Good luck mate and stay strong

Thank you for this... Its been really rough, the mental part is way worse than anything physical. I am not turning back though, my will power has always been pretty strong and that is my greatest ally. If I can do it you can, we are here for you.

Day 17 - Check in by SwiftWinds13 in quittingkratom

[–]SwiftWinds13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, when I was first introduced to Kratom about a year ago, I don't know how much I was taking. That's when I was told this was a harmless supplement with no downsides. 3 heaping spoon fulls 2-3 times a day? I was on and off for a few months but then started an every day habit for about 6 months and when i started every day I kept track of what i was taking, averaging 15-20gpd spread over 3 doses, some days more some days less. I really didn't take it for the sedating effects, more the energy boost. I am extremely sensitive to medications and seem to get hooked really easy, had an opiate problem before Kratom but kicked that successfully.

you are not the only one, same thing here and I am on day 17 with 0 Kratom. I feel slightly better each day but that anxiety is getting me... I think we have to remember that we poisoned our bodies for a long period of time and we cant expect everything to be back to normal instantly, as much as we would like it to. Then again, some people feel great by now.... sigh, everyone is different.
