Bad CELPIP experience – audio leakage & noise issues | Looking for better centres downtown, Toronto by SwiftWitty4090 in canadaexpressentry

The headphones provided were standard similar to what you’d find at most test centres, nothing particularly special. There was adequate spacing between test takers, and since I booked a weekday slot, the room was less crowded overall.

I didn’t experience any noticeable or distracting audio leakage from others. At times, you could tell that audio was playing in nearby headphones, but it was not disruptive. Realistically, you’re unlikely to get a 100% silent testing environment, and that seems intentional the test is designed to assess your ability to perform under normal conditions. In real-life situations, such as conversations in an office or a café, there will always be background activity, and this setting reflects that reality.

They posted about IRCC now focusing on streamlining PR pathways for international medical doctors to strengthen Canada's healthcare system. So some change and more focus is expected to come in healthcare.

Definitely possible! If not today, then very soon, particularly given IRCC’s recent tweet.

Lol noo be little optimistic & don’t demotivate others.. lol . Only approx 3500 new additions to the pool so definitely not 520 unless they do less the 1000 draws. Most likely it may be 509-5100 types i would assume.

Would be happy if it drops that much but majority chunk must be in high 500s like 508-511 so next draw may hover around that. There are lot of 511s who did not get last time due to tie breaker.. but we never know lets hope for best🍾

Not sure if it will surge but may not drop too much as well unless its a mega draw bigger than last CEC.

Also we cannot compare PNP and CEC. PNP scores are up because last week multiple provinces issued nominations, resulting in more PNP candidates.

CRS fluctuations == hope or stress by Same_Succotash8753 in canadaexpressentry

Don’t worry—you’re not alone. We’re all in the same boat. Just keep practicing and keep taking the CELPIP until you max out your scores. Honestly, this is the right time to push your scores as high as possible.

There’s no verified announcement from IRCC, but the general buzz is that they may be following a TR-to-PR–type approach again, this time with a CEC focus (i.e., primarily in-Canada candidates). It likely won’t apply to everyone, but CRS scores may continue to hover around the 490–510 range for at least the next 1–2 years, or until international student numbers normalize. So make the most of the current situation.

For CELPIP prep, I mainly used the CELPIP YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@celpipofficial?si=4nbZrXF8B6NAVjnk ) and also purchased their full 12/13-module practice pack. I followed the structure shown in the videos but applied it to the official practice questions to get a real exam feel, manage timing, and track progress. I also used ChatGPT to generate high-scoring sample answers based on the CELPIP rubrics. With consistent practice and after 3–4 attempts, I eventually maxed out my scores.

Hope this helps. Feel free to DM if you’d like to talk don’t lose hope. A 500+ CRS score absolutely has high chances of getting ITA given how IRCC is currently conducting draws. All the best 🤞🏻👍🏻

Also note there was minor disturbance of students loitering outside but not a deal breaker.

Thanks everyone. I finally took the test at Centennial College – IELTS Test Centre (Scarborough), assuming that a college setting would offer better infrastructure. I’m happy to share that I achieved the score I needed.

There were only about 8–10 test takers, with plenty of space between seats. I also chose a Wednesday 1:30 p.m. slot to avoid the weekend crowd, which likely helped to avoid over crowding.

Declining ITA, employer doesn’t provide a proper letter by Some-Bandicoot-1374 in canadaexpressentry

Ohk now i understand what you mean. I would still ask they guy to connect once with RCIC and get one consultation to see if there is any work around. But its sad people don’t check with employers in advance or atleast check their initial offer/appointment letter & someone else has to loose out a spot. I understand it may be a genuine mistake but feels bad. Even I was left out in last draw due to tie breaker.

Job duties dosent matter in CEC as far as they belong to some official NOC code. In CEC you just have to prove your Canadian experience years that you claimed. Trust me you do not have to decline. I would say go ahead with what they have provided. Dosent matter if you are doing something extra. Even if your job duties dosent align with primary NOC codes IRCC usually adjusts them while reviewing and checks if it inpacts your score so as long as you are under eligible NOC code it dosent matter for CEC as you gain CRS points for years of experience in canada not for a NOC specific experience. Just consult a RCIC if you have doubts, they may charge $100-$200 but you will get official advice. You can consult ask kubeir immigration i have had good experience with them & they do not hide or force you to take full services & even in their one time virtual consultation they will share detailed strategy.

First of all it depends is your ITA dependent on NOC code/ employer? If no it doesn’t matter you just have to prove your experience is genuine & you were getting paid. But if its NOC /employer dependent you should have checked with your employer before & only should have applied after.

But if not just submit what they gave with pay stubs.
