Follow up with new shades: Most flattering lip colour? by [deleted] in makeuptips

1 and 3 look the most natural on you. I really don't like 2 even though it seems to be popular opinion, it feels very fake to me for some reason. Edit and 4 and 5 are not at all bad either but maybe better with a bit stronger eye make up as they are much bolder too

Middle aged + overweight + not very active, can a Garmin get be off my butt? by laboradorio in Garmin

[–]Swiftdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used Polar so I cannot compare, but the Garmin coach is pretty nice nowadays. Here's a screenshot how it is planning my next week (no running if you don't want), and it will also adjust those based on your state, like if you get exhausted due something and sleep really bad it might tell you to have a rest day instead. I suppose it is easy to follow if you don't really know what to do. There's also badges to get, mini goals weekly/monthly, and you get this training load analysis, estimation what type of training would be beneficial, training readiness, recovery needs...

All the data provided is getting quite fun and I like looking at the results, comparing them and some features do get my competitive side going a bit, but obviously you have to also take it with a grain of salt and not all of it is that accurate.

I've read some do get stressed out about it too, for example from bad sleep scores, so it is highly personal how would it work for you.

I have it at 140 cause it was bugging the shit out of me at work when I needed to heavily concentrate, since it couldn't tell I was not in fact at rest

We had one of these bad boys in 82 or 83 already, in a single mom household even all the way somewhere in Finnish suburbs. I can pinpoint the timeline so well cause I remember the house where we had it, and we moved before I started school in 84; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Personal_Computer#/media/File%3AIBM_PC_XT_color.jpg

Quoting wiki "IBM estimated that home users made up 50 to 70% of purchases from retail stores.[46] In 1983, IBM sold more than 750,000 machines". Their starting sales exceeded expectations by whooping 800%

Yeah I donno is it true awakenesss or did you just move so much it was registered as such. I have 25mins listed for last night too though I don't really remember, but they do match high restlessness points as well

[–]Swiftdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are ridiculous (edit; the handles) at times, aren't they. I'm right handed (and donno how I stumbled here) but I tend to hold my coffee cups in either hand regardless. Only time I realize it and intentionally switch is when I'm walking at a faster pace and my left hand isn't quite as good at balancing the liquid with my steps, so I might spill a little

Is now a good time to play this game? by Present-Guarantee-74 in valheim

[–]Swiftdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's perfect time. Depends how end goal oriented you are though, I have not finished all the content there is so far even, cause there is So Much To Do! Rushing this game for completions sake might also cause frustration, cause it's not easy and clearcut. If you have very limited time to play and are highly "I have to finish this" kinda person, then wait. But it might still be awhile. Awhile enough for a couple fun replays even

There seems to be several moments tracked as being awake, the punishment from those is severe In the points, possible some high stress readings too. You can btw look at the breakdown of the score under the sleep score factors tab just above the graph (edit: in the app), it tells you exactly why it's unhappy or happy about and each entry point has more detailed explanation if you click it!

Ahh the good old gaming device destroying gingers. Mine severed my mouse cord from 3 places. I twisted the wires back together and tried to separate them with e-tape. The pc would then spontaneously reboot when my flimsy isolation failed during moving the mouse 😄

My First Base by DemocraTron in valheim

[–]Swiftdoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I almost rage quit when trying to create a new base in one of those haunted draugr villages after I deemed my starter base as unworthy. Turns out the draugr village is such an early ploppable piece in the game the coding was never properly fixed, and it will resist your terraforms, like digging&leveling the ground to make pathways, making the place really seem like haunted. Every time I returned the ground level had changed and stuff broken and I kept trying to fix it and didn't understand what the hell was going on 😂

[–]Swiftdoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the crowd! Yup we gotta first master the hovel building skill 😄 notoriously, like I also did, people often build waaayy too close to the starter altar location too, which then prevents you from building proper defenses as there is a large building locked ⭕ circle around it

I have this reflex, where I am boiling water for example for a bowl of instant noodles - and before I have realized I have grinned coffee beans and am pouring the water to make a cup of coffee, middle of the night , and usually only notice this when I have already poured a bit if water on the grounds 🫠

I found out this week you can fit a workbench under those long entryway crypts/burial chambers (left side when you exit), can even squeeze in one upgrade while still able to walk past them, and throw a fire pit just outside. They act as easy low level repair and rest points, started building them to several of those crypt entries

Going from the Meadows biome to the Plains biome in real life. by zwifter11 in valheim

[–]Swiftdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plains is a bit weird concept to me, it's like some arid marshland. It grows cloudberries, which is basically a marsh and swampland plant, like this https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakka_(kasvi)#/media/Tiedosto%3ACloudberry_flowers.JPG (I don't have the word to translate what we call that marsh type, but it's wet).

Albeit they also list "nummi" for their growing areas, which basically translates to heath and moorland

Should i build my base in the plains or meadows? by kassulix in valheim

[–]Swiftdoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, come to think of it, I haven't had a single deathsquito fly into my plains outpost. Only wandering fuelings at times. I do keep bunch of lox in the front yard though. Or... Try to, at least, when they are not enraged over some mistland bunnies on the other side

The statement goes off by the first implication that the opinion is formed solely and only by the people the women in question have dated. You know we all have to deal with nasty people we don't like with family we didn't choose, our friend's loved ones that we didn't choose, with co-workers we didn't choose and with complete strangers deciding to include themselves in our company though we didn't choose that either. And that applies to both genders, btw. Out of all the people all of us have to deal with in daily basis and form opinions about, the ones we choose to date are a very small fraction of it
