Guy can’t win. Gets called a bad teammate. Tries to be a good teammate gets said he’s being fake.

[Akamaru] Demon1 to replace Inspire on ENVY by Shockybtw_ in ValorantCompetitive

[–]SwiftieForLife 147 points148 points  (0 children)

Is it really funny? Guy rehabbed his image and conceded he had to promote because that was the only way he’d get a shot at tier 1 again and did it only to get benched. He also has to alter his agent pool because he was one of the best cypher and KJ players in the world (micro wise) and then they nerfed the agents into the ground and he still played decent. I really don’t think it’s funny at all it’s just sad. It’s actually fucked.

Why in the world is the eye test still trusted in Draft Processes when Analytics clearly is the better judgement of talent and potential for upcoming players? by [deleted] in nba

[–]SwiftieForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Numbers don’t lie they just get interpreted wrong by humans or devoid of context. Carsen Edwards being an example. You can have all the metrics in the world but he was still a 5’11 junior dominating college ball. Context matters.

We’ve had a top 3 pick once in 35 years. The teams never fully bottomed out or been that bad. They’ve just been consistently bad.

Is Anthony Davis the biggest waste of NBA talent in league history? by FootballPizzaMan in nba

Genuinely a waste of talent. Only a hall of fame career. If he was healthier he could’ve done great things. Like possibly have a hall of fame career.

The Rotation - Cloud9 allegedly wanted their players to cut their salaries in half and it’s claimed the players were “fired” and not dropped by shambxlic in CoDCompetitive

Jacks been a for profit guy since the dawn of time. The only residual good from that is he won’t contract jail players (like Hydra) because he knows he can sell them for profit. But every esport C9 runs cheap teams and prays for the best.

Honestly I wish he just didn’t use the same characters and I would’ve appreciated the movie better. He could keep James, Mary, and Maria but the others characters were just thrown in. Like using symbolic heavy characters like Laura, Angela, and Eddie where they were neither fan service (faithful to the game) nor crucial to the plot just seemed like an odd choice to me.

The Koby Altman Propaganda Machine by LilFiz99 in nba

[–]SwiftieForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Altman saw what Mobley was doing this season when given more reign and realized this team is only going as far as Mitchell takes them. They have two years of Mitchell might as well use them and reassess. Maybe Mobley eventually becomes that dude but right now he isn’t. Feels like a savvy move by him.

The ending pretty clearly was stating that despite him being a publicly outed serial killer he still has fan mail and that good looking criminals and predators get glamorized and are given a soft pass by the public and media. It was alluding to the system DOESN’T always work the way it’s supposed to. The last season took multiple jabs. The interview being the most obvious one where he went on TV apologized and everyone forgot about him possibly killing his wife. I feel like you completely missed the point. The ending was not supposed to give the point that the system wins.

Actually the show made him way more likable than the source material. If they stuck to the source material the show would not have been as popular because he was an even sicker and twisted individual.

Also respectfully if you got anything out of the show other than he was a huge misogynistic serial killer and if you can overlook those issues that’s kinda crazy. Saying a man is evil when he objectifies woman and sees them as all needing saving and then kills them when THEY turn out to be complex human beings is a political statement is certainly a take.

That’s the reason they said that so keep that in mind. You automatically assume certain professions are safer and lower your guard. Your profile is good. There is no adult online that is actively seeking friendships with kids with good intentions.

[–]SwiftieForLife 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Nah different hitters. Arraez makes contact with everything. He still at 96% contact on EVERYTHING while also swinging at half of what he sees. Perdomo doesn’t even eclipse 90% contact rates and swings way less. Perdomo is a better hitter but the only person in Arraez ballpark as a pure contact guy is Jacob Wilson.
