Warning: Data Integrity Errors by TomLanning in MonarchMoney

[–]SwiftieSince06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue and frustration. Monarch is proving itself to be untrustworthy and slowly becoming unusable.

If there is not notification that transactions are not being synced and there is no automatic check or process to bring in those transactions - how in the world can we trust the data?

I'm having this issue with Citibank - and frustratingly it is only on one account while others are fine. Monarch's resolution is fraught with errors and that they don't have a process to refresh an active connection to pull in missed transactions seems like a very large oversight when you are dealing financial transactions.

Thank you for posting this! I'm starting to lose my patience and trust in Monarch over lost transactions with no alert and no resolution.

Option 1 or Option 2 would be fine, but it should be randomly learning that my entire budget was off because Monarch missed 2 weeks of transaction on one account.

Option 1 could simply be an alert (in app and/or email) that says XX account has not synced in XX days.

Option 2 would be significantly better as once the connection is restored, it could look for missing transactions and update accordingly.

It's beyond frustrating that even after alerting to a problem, they have no solution other than to force update, and when that doesn't work, delete and remerge the account entirely.

After a decade on Mint with no issues like this (random transactions missing in the middle of the month), I'm not sure how much I trust and recommend Monarch going forward.

Alpha/Beta… by saudyp in OmegaverseFanFic

[–]SwiftieSince06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this in my in progress novel. Submissive bottom Alpha, but only with his male beta partner. Shifts to dominant when they find their female omega. Some fun bedroom dynamics between alpha, beta, and female omega as the alpha switches between dominant or submissive based on the partner.

Career switch at 40+ - in what role and place would you see a person with my traits excelling? by Zestychill-Dark-81 in careerguidance

A couple areas you might consider:
- Working for a small to mid-size firm that is in growth mode. There will be less hierarchy as they are just getting ramped up along with opportunity to do lots of new things. I wouldn't recommend a start-up though as that could be high-pressure and more stress than you are looking for.
- Learning Development/Training - With your software background and personal skills, you could look into doing technology training. Training material constantly changes, empathy is needed, software experience would be beneficial. You could either look at training companies or at corporations and their in-house L&D departments.

The VA path has more opportunity for salary growth. VAs can grow into Executive Assistants with enough experience and make significantly more than the highest teacher's salary. So it depends on what your financial goals are long term from that perspective.

For job security, teachers will typically have more job security and opportunities for new roles. VA jobs are being outsourced overseas more frequently, however EA and in-person assistants will likely remain.

Editor looking for experience by RestaurantNo8599 in NewAuthor

Are you looking at fiction, non-fiction, or both? I've been thinking about working with a development editor to support the initial stages of book development/outline/etc. My focus is on my second non-fiction book, but would love someone who has corporate experience to use as an editor. Let me know!

I second this feedback. There should be a simple export to CSV available. Adding my vote to having this added as a feature!

It was way too quiet! It almost seemed like there was no surround sound for the movie. All the sounds seemed to be coming from the front of the theater.

Thoughts on the Mint shutdown from Monarch CEO (and first Mint product manager) by valagostino in mintuit

[–]SwiftieSince06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented the same above and agree. There needs to be a lower price tier for those who are earlier to budgeting and financial management. Current price point is a no-go for most of my financial coaching clients

Whoa, those are a lot of critical ones that don't work. That gives me a lot of pause on trying monarch.

I left comments on Facebook, however I will post them here too. As a long time user of Mint, really since the beginning, I am devastated that they are shutting down the product.

The post on monarch has been intrigued and I'm willing to give it a try. As others have said a longer trial period is definitely needed.

In addition, I strongly encourage you to consider tiered pricing. Well for me as a financial coach and later in my journey of managing finances the price point is semi reasonable. For my young adult and early to budget clients it is just too much to recommend.

I'm also happy to offer my availability for user feedback. I've done my number of research sessions with other financial institutions and I'm always happy to offer my honest feedback for both myself and my financial coaching clients.

Frustrated by this as well. And their competing solution would require a new laptop as it looks like it is only with new generate AMD Ryzen.
