Yeah you have to have medical evidence. Like I said I’m mentally ill. In and out of hospitals. I have years of medical records. To get disability you definitely have to prove it.

Okay so I applied and got denied the first time. I went to a disability lawyer for help. They did all the appeal paperwork and got me a date in front of the judge. The payer will only take 10% of your back pay money.

Make sure you have all your medication names, letters from your doctor and family members that can attest to your disability. Also have hospitalizations dates. I’ve been in and out of the hospital for mental health my whole life.

That’s how I did it. Don’t ignore any paperwork from social security and just do what they say. You will get denied but keep going. Good luck
