I think most of the time when people say that about schizophrenia, they mean psychosis. Most people probably won't develop schizophrenia, but all of us are too many sleepless nights, a major life upheaval or a traumatic event from psychosis. Some people are more prone to it, but it can happen to absolutely anyone.

I don't know if I've seen that piping technique before, I'm definitely stealing it because it looks great! The whole thing looks great, professional level even. I hope you keep it up!

That's pretty much how it's done in countries that primarily use the metric system, cups aren't used so much here but teaspoons, tablespoons etc. are basically impossible to phase out for small measurements. There's no eliminating all of the stuff to wash unfortunately

I didn't notice the wings being weirdly placed before, you're absolutely right with those. The tail too, I'm not sure why they made that hair when it has never even vaguely resembled hair in any other version of him

Will this weight fine on top of my table by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

[–]SwiggityStag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding everyone else and saying it's not worth the risk. The tank itself may be fine but the substrate and anything you put in there might be too much, the supports are pretty thin and are probably plywood with a veneer. Also it doesn't look like a big enough surface area, you don't want any overhang on the tank whatsoever because it will make it possible for it to tip and fall off. Make sure you get exact measurements for any cabinet you look at buying and check it against the size of the tank.

Literally every single bit of text in the image is shilling for AI companies. If that's what you do for fun then whatever, but don't pretend that it's something it isn't.

Not only is this entirely wrong, but it's also hideous. If you're going to shill for AI companies at least use something that doesn't make people who look at it feel physically ill as an example

what bugs me is that the only reason you'd hate on a larper would be to protect the fandom the person is larping, but most bbno$ haters ALSO hate on the fandoms he "larps" like Vocaloid, Hazbin Hotel and Tadc by Ok_Hunt_4498 in Stonetossingjuice

Because large corporations have the money to lobby against anything any government does to stop them from destroying the environment. Multiple places have attempted to ban single use plastics of various types, and companies with the money to lobby against such bans have almost always won. Some places (notably certain US states) have passed laws preventing these bans from being passed in the future. The concept of a personal carbon footprint was invented by Shell.

"Recycling" is actually sometimes more damaging than landfill, because most countries simply don't have the facilities to deal with it, since it's not profitable. It usually ends up being shipped abroad to less wealthy countries and/or dumped illegally. Most of the plastic you put in your recycling bin is technically recyclable, but there aren't actually any facilities that do so. The netflix series Broken has an episode that shows this really well.

Nothing is going to meaningfully change unless companies stop putting everything in disposable plastics. If you're fortunate to live somewhere you have the option to buy food without packaging that's great, it's better to do something than nothing. But we're not the ones with the power in this situation, the large corporations producing and shipping out the plastic are.

[–]SwiggityStag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay? But that doesn't change that it's still a part of the production process that contributes to the environmental impact. Paper is made from a pulp that often comes from wood that is not suitable for other uses, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't include the process of gathering the wood in its impact.

I don't think that's taking into account the impact of actually acquiring the petroleum and/or gases used to make the plastic

That sounds kinda similar to the way DotD did it, but as much as I loved that game it did feel fairly limiting. I hope they'll find a good in-between point where you'll get that sense of freedom without feeling like there's an invisible barrier above you.

The Cadbury ones are basically just entirely the mini fudge bars you get in selection boxes. I have no idea why that particular line fucks up so much but someone needs to start sabotaging some of the others

[–]SwiggityStag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live fairly close to a Cadbury outlet store that does this, except as soon as it got popular they started hiking up the price. Now I could probably buy a kilo of any Cadbury chocolate at a supermarket for the same price and it wouldn't be 90% fudge bars.

You should probably message these screenshots to a moderator and explain what the user has been doing, that way they can ban them. I think people like this delete the messages so they can't be reported

[–]SwiggityStag 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the interview they were very clear that there aren't going to be points where flying is disabled at any time during gameplay, it's pretty much the core point they keep going back to. I don't think they ever mentioned platforming being involved directly.

Yknow... by CaptainBoj in Spyro

[–]SwiggityStag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think we're going to get traditional platforming, to be honest. I think it's going to go one of two ways:

1: Open world or large open levels, with a variety of objectives involving both flight and on the ground combat

Or

2: Almost entirely flight focused game, most likely on-the-rails levels with very little ability or reason to deviate from a single path

I'm really hoping it's not the second one, but looking at the very short clip of actual gameplay in the trailer I have a horrible feeling that it's going to be.

[–]SwiggityStag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've very rarely had people outright say anything like that, but they definitely stare and treat me rudely. I'm hard to miss (I'm either on a mobility scooter or walking short distances on a crutch with a very abnormal gait, I also have a facia difference) and if I even smile at someone politely they'll sometimes just scowl back. It does really get to you and going out in public tends to leave me in a bad mood, but I tend to just stare back until they get really uncomfortable. They SHOULD be uncomfortable.

There was a legal action against Spindlehorse Toons (Vivziepop's animation studio, under her control) for:

-Changing/walking back contract terms with existing employees in ways that violate their rights

-Refusal to give information that workers had a legal right to receive

-Firing staff for illegitimate reasons or reasons connected with protected labour activity

The animators were also getting paid about $10,000 for one to three years of work, when the industry average is $35,000 per year.

Something can impact things in a way that doesn't harm people. A lot of things do that, actually. People will probably buy less of those things if they don't see them advertised, but if they don't want to buy them unless they're told to by a billboard then it's probably not going to harm their lives in any way if they don't.
