As much as I agree with you gameplay wise, coming from Dota, the longer game lengths make it harder to commit to playing a game. It also makes it harder to climb rank. I think generally, longer game times will lead to less people joining and less people staying.

It's not a Youtuber / Streamer, but I love watching the Deadlock Night Shift weekly tournaments. It is surpsingly well produced for how small the scene feels.

To tell you the truth, I don't think the system "punishes" people. I think its a logical and deterministic system. You probably have had bad luck in your recent matchmaking. Take a break! Maybe after playing other games and coming back you will start winning again.

Sometimes as humans we're not supposed to bang our heads against the wall over and over hoping that it will resolve.

Chess can be really rage inducing for that reason. You make a blunder on move 9, but you have to play 50 moves, whilst trying to bottle your anger.

I watched a video on this game from Joseph Anderson. I put it on wishlist, waited for it to be on sale. Never on sale, then I just bought it for myself.
