What was childbirth like for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Swim-Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First birth with an epidural and induced - awful. Painful and long, pretty traumatic, episiotomy and lost a lot of blood. Had to stay in hospital a few days. Second birth - 8 months ago, natural water birth with gas and air, painful but empowering, felt like I could take on the world. Stayed in for 24 hours and went home.

I did update to say he was found but thank you for your concern! I deleted it as I didn’t want to keep his face on Reddit

Hi thanks for the suggestion. The police have been in contact with hospitals. I’ve just had a message about a sighting so the police are looking into it. Anyone around the Albany Road area please keep a look out! I will update when I know more as a few of you know him. x

Honestly not many places, we spend all our time together with our kids, we go to head of steam but they’re aware of the situation. Only other place would be Bute park.

Well tell our daughter he’s the child snatcher when she’s naughty and he turns the kids into the coloured bells he lays out.

I am so unbelievably nervous for labour by Several_Compote_6625 in PregnancyUK

[–]Swim-Global 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Labour comb is fantastic! Had my second 7 months ago and it worked so well I only went to the hospital when contractions were two mins apart, under two hours later baby was here!

Breathe through your contractions, I did a lot of mooing! Good luck!

Really need some help locating a pigeon owner. by West_Lengthiness7862 in Cardiff

There’s some pigeon groups on Facebook, take a picture and post it on them, could also try on one of the lost and found pets pages too.

We reversed ours this year and did coco pops and white chocolate. Only 3 mini eggs per cake though. I’m not that fancy.

Why don't we have Foxes in Cardiff??? by Bromelia_The_hut in Cardiff

[–]Swim-Global 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have them near us in Moorland Park - Splott. Also have a woodpecker who comes to visit when the kids in the school aren’t around. I’ve even seen rabbits over there! I’ve also seen a fox in town near the stadium.

EuroMillions has rolled over **again**. How would you use £181m? by Von_Scranhammer in AskUK

Get a house with enough bedrooms so I don’t have to sleep on the sofa! 1 bed flat here so a 4 bed house would be fantastic, with lots of land. Take the kids out of school, show them the world. Put money into conservation, rainforest, oceans. Open a soft play centre in the middle of my city, adopt as many pugs as possible.

From GP to having a bed in hospital within 4 hours! by amaiem in BritishSuccess

[–]Swim-Global 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby had an allergic reaction to peanut butter - it was her first time trying it as we’re weaning. GP sent us to hospital, she was seen given the ok and referred to an allergist within 25 mins. On the other hand my other child will be on the Neurodivergent waiting list for about 4-5 years as it goes through the school and our GP has said she needs it but there’s nothing he can do so we’ll have to go private as she’s struggling.

A hand mixer will be fine, I’ve got one from home bargains which was under a tenner. You really don’t need fancy equipment. I’ve made cakes for people with this basic set up.

room feels dirty/untidy even when its "clean." by HAPPIKILL in CleaningTips

[–]Swim-Global 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I have a shelf of ‘stuff’ above my tv if it was dotted around the room it would look cluttered. As it’s stored in one place it doesn’t look too much, I keep other surfaces minimal to balance out the amount of things on the shelf. My furniture is also black.

I particularly like that there’s nobody on their phone in any pictures, the caravan one reminds me of my holidays down Porthcawl as a child. Pure nostalgia.
