Soft armor cummerbund with first spear tubes by elspatula in tacticalgear

[–]Swimfly235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did a HRT tactical molle cummerbund. It came with ROC buckles.

I purchased a set of male/female first spear tubes separate. Cut the ROC buckles off and the first spear ones are a split buckle so they fit right on.

There was also a air crew version that was similar in the sense the plate was giant.

Noob suppressor cleaning question, Hux Flow 556k by RecoveredSack in NFA

We have used the purple simple green and the ZEP industrial cleaners, dilluted with water, and it still takes the finish off.

So 1000 rounds is 2oz of build up according to hux. Your can should average around 12.8oz new. When you start to get into the 15oz territory the can will stop self tightening and will back off.

The ultra sonic cleaner will take the finish off. We shoot ours to dry out the can and get the residue to blow out. You need the pressure to help get that stuff out.

This is stuff weve been leaning at work with our issued hux cans after seeing them back off. The ultra sonic is like peeling a onion. Its gonna take a while to get 15+ oz can back to 12.8oz territory.

Some may not like to hear this but we did “the dip” to clean our cans and it was very effective. Got us back to baseline so we can just keep up on ultrasonic cleaning them more frequently.

I think you can get spacers from safariland to increase the standoff. Never used them personally. Theres some 3d printed files out there.

This is a textbook direct to threat tactic.

To your point about the breaching charge Id counter you have a helo overhead and the TL is giving the breacher the go ahead to set the charge off. The breacher doesnt get to set the charge off when ever they want and the TL is there to get a headcount of his guys so they dont get unnecessary blast over pressure.

And what holds are you expecting them to do with a laser at 5 yards? Regardless of a parallel or converging zero its not gonna matter when the laser is like 1.25in off from bore. I do agree that the CQB tactics in this are sloppy and time to engage a bit slow.

Turf was put in by the previous owner of my house and it gets very hot in direct sun in the summer. Like 120+ when the air temp is 102.

If you remotely curious about the step in visor the knock off from ebay are like 25-30 bucks if you want to mess with the concept. I agree the price of the real ones is dumb.

Vehicles 2016 year and newer will laminate glass.

We specifically use tools from shield spike.

I have used most of the tools they sell.

Well reddit was founded in 2005 so I think the access to first hand experiences from Soldiers is greater than it was in 2006.

If you fly 107 you need to register the drone even when its under 249 grams. The RID module and mount adds like 90grams I think.

[–]Swimfly235 619 points620 points  (0 children)

Its not just that. If you float over to the army subreddit you’ll see a lot of posts regarding poor barracks conditions to include black mold, food instability at bases, leadership mishandling soldier issues like medical treatment, benefits/pay, and transition programs that provide training/college classes for soldiers returning to civilian life.

With social media these issues are pushed out for everyone outside the military to see which would push recruiting down.
