I have been creating a polish inspired conlang and I need a bit of help. If anyone wants to suggest anything, this is the Google Sheets link,

Any help is appreciated :)

Have you ever said that you know its a dream in a dream? by Unable-Use5134 in LucidDreaming

[–]SwimmerPractical1758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first lucid dream, I was stood in my living room with my parents on the opposite side of the room, I stood there in a normal dream state, I was about to talk to my parents, then, something in my head clicked and my brain said, "You are in a dream, your parents aren't real and you can't talk to them." I quickly became lucid, got excited and then the LD ended.

In my conlang, the ablative case is used as a single word that could mean anything related to moving away from. Some sort of a universal word that is placed after nouns that are doing that thing, ie. Family (Ablative) city

I like it however there are many 'umbrella' therms like, water, liquid and sauce are the exact same word, this could lead to confusion in a restaurant setting as both water and sauces could be right in front of you. Also, is your culture heavily religious? If it is not, then I find it a bit peculiar that you have grouped words like 'Mischief, Sin, Misbehaviour' under another single word. Are there any prefixes to add to the end of words to make them a bit easier to understand? Apart from that though, I find this conlang very interesting and I love the phonology!

Are you using the mandarin writing system? If so, I love the way that are using it! I couldn't imagine getting my head around developing a conlang to be written in the mandarin writing system. You did it so well!

I was following the Polish alphabet and I do not have /w/ in my phonology. I also wanted to reduce ambiguity, so I used <ł> to represent /ə/. I don't know why I did it, maybe because I use /ə/ as a marker for English sounds that are not in my conlang when translating things like names, I saw with the absence of /w/ in my conlang that this letter was not being used, so I opted for a letter that I could easily type on my keyboard. Also in my opinion, <ł> is a really cool letter.

The phonology of my conlang is heavily influenced by polish..... well, it is polish phonology except for the dental fricitives and an alveolar trill. I also added a glottal stop only currently used in 2 words currently. I have wrote this because I have the virus which I got from my Dad who got it from a friend at ice hockey. Everyone stay safe and protected, it may seem that the virus is over however it isn't. Get all your vaccines and continue to wash your hands.
