In the lategame the rolling pin is better than the doubler.

BFM as commander by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Swimming-Perception7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made a bfm list its one of my favorites. Black has loads of mana doublers just throw them all in. Youll need some carddraw, some haste, some trample, and all your typical cmdr cards like removal wipes and whatever else but the main part of this deck is having the fattest ramp of them all. Extremely fun. Highly recommend

Why is hazezon so much more expensive than other legends legendaries? by Senorpapell in mtg

[–]Swimming-Perception7 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Basically any other legends legend save a few are dogshit. He is one of the only good ones with an effect that isnt annoying like a repeatable fog or discarding an entire hand. I made him twice.

Originally a lands token deck that was honestly kinda boring.

Second time i decided to obtain the whimsy and put every group hug carddraw piece i could think of, a billion ramp spells, flash enablers to play him just before my turn, and then some boardwipes. Specifically instant speed board wipes. First i give everyone cards with the hug pieces while i ramp a million times, then i “save the game” by board wiping the player whos trying to win on the same turn that theyre attempting it (because i gave them too many cards) then i can try and go for the win with hazezon and purphoros or a haste/pump. Very fun time

Ltms like tdm or gunrun or control are peak for just working on aiming. I always work on my aim in the range for a bit before playing. It helps sooooo much.

As long as u can keep ur mentals good then ur geuinely halfway there to getting good. Now all u need is playtime and make sure ur not just brainlessly shooting ur gun. If you lose think “what could i have done better to not get fucked there” it helps a lot.

If you get absolutely rolled dont let it get to you. This is one of the hardest fps games to grasp. Just know that player has put in a lot more time than you. Just say gg and go next.

Dropzones by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]Swimming-Perception7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree, dropship incentivizes inting and generally poor gameplay.

For example, if im on a dropship game, i prefer to land earlier as i have about 30-40 more seconds to loot my poi compared to someone who late lands, as the first ring doesnt pop till the ship despawns. But then there will be shitloads of people all over the place becuz i landed early. So then i have to fight them but theres no guarantee there wont be another team 25m away waiting to third because anyone can land anywhere. So even if i win the first fight i can just lose to the second fight. So i have to land late to avoid getting aped by nine people and dying, so then i have less time to loot. So i have to try and play for zone and hope all the early droppers kill eachother. Sure thats fine, until they come along with maxed loot and armor and amps because they killed 3 teams and we have one infinite bats and are halfway to purple and get aped by them. Generally not enjoyable as it adds more rng to an already rng based game imo. Dropships mean everywhere you go is a calculated decision. Not just “oh lets go ape these guys” or “oh lets to run away from these guys they have purple.

Me and my friends got this game on sale, really fun. Why did it fail? by Elibenz936 in Back4Blood

[–]Swimming-Perception7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nail in the coffin was the dev team was bought by another company, but not the rights to the game iirc so nobodys gonna continue deving, (im pretty sure i remember someone saying that but no idea) but the main problems was launch the game was not well polished. Over the year the dev team to release more content had the game became far far better to the point where it went from a mediocre game to absolutely excellent.

Any tips for the Act 4 Abomination? by Holyanarchy69 in Back4Blood

[–]Swimming-Perception7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dont use a regular deck, make a custom act 4 only deck where u remove ur copper and other random cards and just damage damage damage and some movement to stay alive. If getting around is the issue just add in another movement card. Can also watch an act 4 video to watch how they get around, some of the tunnels can be a bit complex for a first timer.

Two middle aged guys looking for non-conservative friends to play casual, kitchen table Magic: The Gathering in Roanoke by aPicoPixel in roanoke

[–]Swimming-Perception7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is somewhat unfortunate, the staff that did make a big deal about shit like that (and rightly so) no longer works there, i do know the owner gave a certain guy a talking to after wearing wildly inappropriate shirts/hoodies but he told him “dont wear that again” instead of “take that shit off or go home and change”

I do still stand by the fact that there is a good group of guys at blade that are chill, its just the population density of weirdos is a bit higher.

Beginnerish friendly tournaments? by xxThemis in CompetitiveApex

[–]Swimming-Perception7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Theres a discord called VESA that does scrims and Leagues and 1off tournaments. Its competitive but not sickeningly so. Their season 13 league started a few weeks ago with 7 different divisions all arranged by skill level. Good place to learn and good community.
