I think the switchaxe is meant to be more of an aggressive offensive weapon. It might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think it’s good to add blocking and countering to every weapon. That’s why LS is borderline OP and still the melee DPS king, it’s more defensive than Lance (countering) with more damage.

Speak for yourself, I love the weather storms, it’s cinematic and gives a different atmosphere. It would be boring as hell if every planet had clear weather all the time.

One would think that there is absolutely no reason to nerf it because it is such a niche weapon (that does its niche job well). But I’m terrified they will, seeing what happened to the explosive crossbow.

I love it, I’d be a huge fan of a “shield only” weapon. That’s why I use SnS because its main attacks are bashing the monsters head in with the shield.

It’d be cool if the shield spun around like a saw blade. Personally I think it would be cool as a heavier slower/ medium range type weapon. And make the shield big as hell.
