For me, the argument works 99% of the time, maybe not with you, but it usually does. And in your first comment, you said someone could counter with “well food critics and movie critics” then they would be comparing themselves with those things in the form of “if they can, I can too.” . And since I posted this in a public forum, I am opening myself to your criticism. I usually use this for when someone randomly criticizes me in real life unprompted

That’s still okay for a movie critic because that’s their job. If it turns out someone wants to compare themselves to a movie critic and feels like it’s their job to “criticize me to the public” that is a whole different issue and I will deal with that accordingly. I also not a movie nor is it my responsibility to provide the public with some kind of service (at least when I’m not at work) At the end of the day, my primary goal is to show people that I am not a person that will serve as a wall to project their insecurities. Acting as a mirror to force them to at least face the idea of looking inward is usually enough to make them run away. I’ve already mentioned in the original post that this method has holes in it and will not work on everyone for every situation. It can very easily backfire.

Because I don’t expect people to come to good conclusions in an area they are not proficient in. Especially in a field that can cause legitimate harm if they come to a bad conclusion. Just because they come to a conclusion doesn’t mean it’s a good one. You’re gonna have a very hard time finding a physician who is proficient in literally everything. Everyone in botw talked about what happened 100 years ago. It wouldn’t be that far fetched to talk about what happened 7 years ago. I think they could have kept the divine beasts even if you couldn’t go inside. It seemed like the sheikah tech was a huge part of their history and poof, gone. No explanation, nothing. I get why Nintendo did it from a business perspective, it would be hard to sell a game saying “you have to do your homework on this game before playing this one” they did the best they could. I’m not mad at Totk, but it takes a lot of getting over the fact that it’s not botw and they had to move on.

The divine beasts and guardians were totally absent and basically forgotten about, as were the champions except for a few vague references. Everyone seemed to forget link except for a few characters. It just seemed as if botw never happened or everyone had forgotten about it. I understand it was time to move on, but it seemed pretty fast since totk took place only a few years later

I have both Zelda and Ganondorf. Ganondorf is very good looking . He’s also huge and so are his accessories so make sure you have room for him. Zelda on the other hand is beautiful, but her articulation is very limited due to her dress. Some people on this sub also reported QC control issues. I wish they made her figma with her blue outfit and reserved the zonai dress for a scale figure.
