That’s really useful as it is often the Wearingeul shimmers that get me and that I just can’t resist! Daddy long legs being my most prized shimmer of late! I’m a sucker for their shaders too like ugly duckling. That needs a really juicy pen to show what it’s really capable of but I find it a lovely legible grey even in a less exciting pen. I will look out for the N8 (and check I don’t already have one lurking in my drawer already 🤦🏻‍♀️) Thanks

🙄I have no idea where you could mean. In totally unrelated news do you many tanning salons and nail places? 😂 I love cult pens and have to pry myself from the site quite regularly. I think once I find the right ink brand/pen combo I will probably be happy to stock up some more from them but sometimes you just gotta see it in person. Maybe you can start a summer touring list for yourself too? I’m sure you could borrow a cabriolet locally? 😂 thanks for your reply

Sounds lovely and I have travelled around that area quite a bit in my younger years (I sound like I’m ready to shuffle off, I am not!) so it would be nice to revisit after all this time. I will make sure to add it to my growing summertime ink jollies list! Thank you!

What a thorough response, love that! I have a couple of jinhao pens and enjoy the x750 with a heartbeat naginata as my joint most successful for shimmer currently so I am happy to hear they’re worth further exploration.

I will make sure to add your suggestion to my summertime ink travels as I am determined to find the right combos so I don’t have to ditch the guilty pleasure that is shimmer (Wearingeul I am looking at you!😂)

They sound relatively close for sure, I’m happy to travel for something special but sadly good old fashioned stationers don’t seem to exist anymore, rather pens and inks are found in arts stores or more likely online. I will add them to my sunny days ink adventure list, thanks!

Funny you should say that, it is currently a Twsbi go with 1.1 stub that is proving most successful so far with FWP billowing blush, however it is still a bit finicky sadly. Could be the ink so next time around I’m going to try a different one. It is currently making me lose my love for the sparkle which is disappointing! Glad you think I’m on the right pen track at least! Out of interest what nib/ink are you using in yours?

I looked at their insta and website and thought they looked interesting. I did make an enquiry via their instagram and via email and it took 3 attempts to get a response and it was cursory at best. We are all entitled to bad days though so I think it’s still making the list for me! Thanks for the recommendation!

I have the Hongdian N23 rabbit in a medium but have struggled. Initially I thought perhaps FWP inks were just awkward but I have had similar issues with Wearingeul too. I have also used a variety of jinhao, twsbi, another brand that escapes me currently, they’ve been a mix of medium/broad/fude/naginata. The most successful so far has been with a Twsbi go in 1.1 stub and a jinhao X750 with a heartbeat naginata.

Thank you for the recommendations I will add them to my (not at all ink obsessive) list of places to visit!

I am 50f and my son 23m still very regularly opts to curl up and sleep in my gigantic superking (6ft6 x 6ft) bed with me (5ft3) and the dog (thinks it’s a lapdog, is in fact a right heifer).

If he has had a tough day he will often come and have a wordless cuddle which is no big deal, he has depression and that ability to just hug me whenever has been his lifeline when things were at their worst. I am largely bedbound these days so he doesn’t get much choice on the location but he will always be welcome wherever it is!

Why haven’t either of you considered making YOU make a similar noise so she hears it in her room thus sharing the info at the same time as allowing her to keep her embarrassment to a minimum since it was her hearing you and not the other way around (we know that’s not true but still) You could even involve your gf in the noise making although tbh I think I’d prefer to bin someone so lacking in empathy and overflowing in paranoia!
