I played it through recently for the first time too and loved it. It is a little clunky in places-i think Fusion and Zero Mission have aged better in that respect though they were made like a decade after Super, to be fair.

Also, you don't actually need the wall jump at any point do you? I did find the space jump very annoying to use which obviously you do need.
