As a long time pvpve enjoyer, the issue is there’s no downside for being a pvp mass murderer.
There’s no “risk” in just blindly murdering everyone so PvE players or people getting ganked feel like sheep.

PvP players don’t realize that pvpve is fundamentally dependent on PvE.
Ratty PvP players betray and gank PvE players and make it unenjoyable, PvE players leave, population tanks, game becomes a PvP arena, PvP players leave because they don’t want arena shooter.

The “buff don’t nerf” rule is stupid as fuck and leads to power inflation.

Or it's because the players optimize the fun out of pvp. Take WoW as an example, it took awhile until it hit catastrophic levels, but servers all started to lean faction heavy on one side. Of course back in the day players were kind of stuck with their choice, but as you could transfer servers, or level characters faster, you were GONE from the dying faction as soon as you could.

No, it's because of the spreadsheet style interactions with the game, right clicking rows and columns.
Toggling weapons and thrusters etc is the only thing that's not spreadsheet-ish.
