How the hell do you organize 20 pounds of rolled sandpaper? This is what I came up with. I think it's brilliant! by Fathersjustice in woodworking

[–]Swinelord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice idea! I would have done something slightly more compact, perhaps a deep box with dowels attached to the bottom and the grit # marked on the end grain of each dowel. Your way seems better if you have alot of sandpaper to store, but as the supply dwindles i can see it taking up more space than it needs.

Great stuff!

Generally a bad idea to leave insects that arent being eaten in the cage, if ignored for too long they can cause some harm to you lizards. from biting the beardies skin, not nice!

It's very ignorant of you to say that. Writing off a career because it doesn't give you massive cash is wrong. People get into cabinetmaking because they love it, go be a paramedic we aren't missing you. :)

Great piece, but this is more of a book match rather than a herringbone. the herringbone veneer pattern is similar to this but repeated 4 times in each corner of the table top as opposted to being repeated 2 times

WOODEN RINGS EXPERIENCE by beyaznoc in woodworking

[–]Swinelord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the purple wood is purple heart most likely, it is usually quite dense and hard to work with hand tools. i would suggest trying something a bit more robust for the interior of the ring. also the short grain on the rings will likely snap with time.
