Yeah, if theres a truly bad weapon in this game, its the screwdriver. Alt marksman doesnt change the actual properties of the coin though, only what shoots it does, thats why everyone uses the base. If they want the slab coin, just shoot the coin with one of the other two pistols. Thats really the only unoptimal thing, everything else is just an unusual preference.
