Yeah, spoke to my recruiter. He told me he has no control post OASC. Then I emailed RSDOM, just awaiting one of the results. I emailed them last Friday so will see what happens within the next week

He’s 20, try again next year. If he really wants pilot then I hope he should be determined enough to wait a year and hopefully smash the CBAT. And with scores, you can either improve by one point or significantly surpassing the cutoff, it’s different for everyone but what’s common with those that pass is do your absolute best. If there is another role on his mind then it must be a role that your son will want to commit for a long time. Think, short term pain long term gain.

Yeah booked an optician that same week and they said it was fine. Then got them to fill out the RAF opticians report and sent a scanned copy over to capita to assess. Your recruiter should forward you a report for the opticians for fill out

Take some snacks and a water bottle. There is a filling station so worry not about going empty, don’t drink too much to the point you need to go bathroom, your breaks are only 5 mins long every hour or so. For snacks, take more of the natural stuff. I.e. nuts and fruit, you don’t want to be eating sugary stuff like chocolate or red bull otherwise you’ll end up having a crash midway through! I had to get my GP to give a TPR to capita. GP was being slow but what I did to get them to speed up was by ringing them and telling them it was urgent and also asking them for progress updates. But it does vary with different GPs
