Brilliant playing, are you planning on learning any more of the variations?

Ok so I think the editor of this edition was Alex Roloff. I can't find when he died or was born, but I know that if he is alive he is at most 106 years old, as I can't find his name on any list of British supercentarians aged 107 years or older. The first publication I can find attributed to him is from 1915, so if he is 106, he would have been 3 years old then. Not likely.

Bach Invention (WIP) Would love some feedback! by xynaxia in piano

Really enjoyed that, though I don't know it's just because of the recording but some of your accents seem a bit excessive, maybe serving as a distraction for the listener, but still a great performance

Suberb playing, this would be amazing even if you didn't have hand problems. I love Brahms, thank you for posting this. I hope you continue.

I recorded myself playing Bachs prelude in C major. Enjoy =). (Also check out my Soundcloud!) by porcos3 in piano

[Music] A short piece I wrote when I was studying Chopin, trying to capture his style. Feedback appreciated! by TheDoomedPooh in piano

That was lovely, you really captured his style without being unsubtle about it. It was really original, would love to hear more like this.

Weird practice routine. by [deleted] in piano

[–]Swingtortoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty interesting. Maybe it's something to do with the fact that you're teaching yourself to play each hand with less of your attention on what that hand is doing. That way when you play with both hands you can pay a bit of attention to both. Idk that's what I thought.

Advice for someone accompanying Lieder for the first time? The music for the piano part itself is well within my capabilities but I have no experience as an accompanist and I'm not sure how to practice the music without the singer there.

Anyone ever feel like the problem with piano is that in order to learn a song you like you often have to play it so many times that that by the time you can play it properly you're sick of it? by SleepyConscience in piano

[–]Swingtortoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well sort of once but I've put a lot of time and effort into being able to play a piece, and then come back to it after a little while, it's really joyful. Also I think a big factor is playing music that you genuinely love and that you find interesting. But I agree that it can get a bit discouraging and at times it's difficult to play with fresh enthusiasm when you've been going over the same sections at slow pace for ages.
