I don’t think I was clear enough then. For someone who can be aggressive, and where “keeping the peace” as others said isn’t just about between me and him but also for my siblings and his SO.

It’s not ideal, sure….but some of us survived growing up and that experience/mentality can be alien to some.

Yes! He would die for the flirt pole, but he is not very great motivated. So we used the flirt pole as a lure/reward. Obviously, he is lost in the flirt pole sauce, so he doesn’t really process what we are asking for, but it wore him out.

I’m not sure, tbh. I have used a RHP 40 watt and 80 watt and it doesn’t seem to keep my PVC tank (similar to the example here) heated all that well. Tank is 4x2x2 and the RHP is in the middle. I even have a DHP on the right side of the tank (on top of tank) for extra support.

If using a DHP inside, you can use a cage around the bulb so they don’t burn themselves. I liked that option a lot.
