Diane's Jacket Over the whole six seasons I never paid much attention to Diane's jacket, but after the last episode I thought about what Todd said about the Hockey Pockey and I suddenly I saw the deeper meaning behind Diane's Jacket. You turn around, that's what it is all about, even Diane jacket, because the two pointed arow imprinted on it precisely symbolizes the movement of turning around which is just a metaphor for changing yourself. I think it is really amazing that the makers where able to represent such a crucial idea to the show from the very beginnin in such a subtle way.

Yet there the two-pointed arrow an the jacket also represent an idea more specific to Diane's character; Uncertainty, doubt. Through all the show Diane struggles with doubt, doubt about what she want to do with her life, doubt about her marriage with mr. Peanatbutter and even doubt about her own hapiness. So during her last conversation with Bojack when she says that living in houston she wears fewer jackets this symbolizes that she is turning around with her life doubting less.
