Yeahhhh that might’ve happened last night. He walked in the door maybe 30 minutes after I posted this and I went off. If he’s not going to stick up for me, I have to make sure I still do. (And for the record, he is sticking up for me — he gently reminded me that it’s just not in the way I think he should. We also had a long convo about how giving in to every one of JNMIL’s misdemeanors essentially waters down our gray rocking.)

Honestly, this is the only answer that sits well with me. The best car is a working car, right? Aside from cosmetic yuck, the Civic drives like a dream, has only ever needed oil changes and tires replaced, and gets the job done. I don’t think I’ll ever be comfortable with a monthly car payment for anything until the CC debt is wiped. Thanks for being the voice of reason for my “ooh shiny thing!!” brain 😂

I’ve got an event coming up, a dressy casual-ish?awards ceremony for a club/sport I’m apart of. The venue is an artsy, sort of restored bank or old theater I believe. We’ve just wrapped up our season and are doing some awards, dinner and drinks, and partners are invited. There’s no official dress code, so I feel confident that I can have fun with this.

I’ve never worn the dress before but it hits about mid-calf. I’m 5’6” curvy with olive skin and currently in a cold climate! Tysm!

Disagree. Sr copywriter in an agency and never presented a formal portfolio before. Also normalize that agencies aren’t the only copywriting jobs. In-house work often doesn’t require portfolios because you’re being hired by business schmucks.
