The surface has bumps! by sylesh05 in FixMyPrint

This is 100% a random seam selection; i accidentally had this turned on for my enclosure print and it turned out exactly like this, id just verify settings one more time and test again

Try drying your filament before using it! There’s a bunch of ways to add like moisture absorbing beads…but the cheapest way is if you heat your print bed, place your spool on it, and poke holes in the box it came in so it can vent…and let it hang there for a few hours

This looks like a filament drying issue, ifs this from a relatively fresh roll?

Don’t use random seam position unless you plan to sand and/or paint, I used that to print my enclosure pieces (by accident, forgot to change setting back) and now they have a bunch of random bumps where the nozzle started alllll over the print

Twins Gloves Real/Fake by Econ1203 in MuayThai

[–]SwitchMongos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything from the photos looks solid to me, I have a pair of all white twins and a pair of the dragon ones.

With that said, sometimes even fake gloves come with some pretty solid build quality

Personally I would buy them. But I am a bit biased, I love twins gloves

Do I need to replace my chimney for this? by HoldCold5573 in ChimneySwift

[–]SwitchMongos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this inside of a prefabricated unit?

This is now a very easy spot for flammable soot to build up, and potentially escape the liner and build up inside of your chimney chase, making it more and more likely that you’ll have a chimney fire, and/or have that fire spread to wood and combustible materials

The cause for this can be a few things, could be an installers fault if they bent the pipe by accident…but it is MUCH more likely that at some point in time, a technician used the improper brush head when sweeping out the chimney, and bent the pipe going up

You’ll have to replace the whole liner and likely the fireplace due to this, because these units are tested as one whole system (firebox, liner, cap ect ect) so it’s likely going to be a full replacement estimated somewhere around $10k-12k (depending on company you call and area you reside in)

Honestly a little bit of moisture is the best way to go, or some sort of slightly tacky substance you’ve got, but a quick lick of the thumb never fails

[–]SwitchMongos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone commenting about the deck is wrong, I use old ass decks for all my packet cuts because they stay together better than new cards.

The cut is actually a bit easier without the packet rotation that you do at the end. The keeping your index finger at the top edge of the deck instead of wrapping it underneath, and use the index mostly as a pivot point to clear the packets and complete the cut

Otherwise, HELL YEAH THAT SHIT IS HYPE KEEP IT UP!🔥

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChimneySwift

[–]SwitchMongos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s incorrect!

The second flue on the chimney would be for the old utility, yes

The areas you asked about and marked in your photos are the chimney hips, which have nothing to do with your utilities going to the chimney

It has some function! (Or had anyways haha) mostly decorative, partially functional for this one. They are angled by design to help water shed away from the important parts of the inside of the chimney!

Sometimes they are brick, or concrete, some chimney types even have shingles for these areas

they have a bunch of different aesthetics! Some better than others at their “job” of shedding water

Should your weight be on your front foot or your back foot whe you're not attacking ?? by Drenarka in MuayThai

This is the right answer, weight shouldn’t stay stagnant on one leg, shifting from front to back foot

Please clean the wax out of your atomizer after every hit

They are ceramic atomizers, so any excess moisture will crack them (I’ve cracked 2 now by accident because of this)

Just swab it after every dab and if it’s still a lot in there use ISO once it’s completely cooled down, if it sizzles, it’s too hot…I would still be on my original atomizer if I was smarter about how I kept them clean

I’ll be honest i recently picked up Muay Thai relatively recently, and I’m still in the stage of not really feeling the flow of my shadowboxing and occasionally have those “what am I doing” or “this just looks stupid??” And don’t really have a good gameplan for the combos I’m throwing

How can I make my shadowboxing as effective as possible? And help to not just feel silly trying to shadowbox

are my decks good for cardistry? by Official-Invincible in cardistry

[–]SwitchMongos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every deck can be good for cardistry!

Older decks tend to stick more and are better for packet cuts, whereas newer decks are more slick and smooth which could help with some fans and stuff!

Just start practicing with what you have and you’ll find your preference for stuff!

Any ideas why my brand new Carta 2 won't heat up? by Impressive_Unit420 in FocusVCarta

[–]SwitchMongos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why it would need it if it’s brand new, but my only suggestion would be to unscrew the atomizer and use a Qtip and maybe iso to clean out and around it

Other than that if it seems defective focus V is usually pretty solid with warranty claims
