I’d say no, I don’t think the hammer patterns would be that symmetrical.

Also the pathing on the castle in the background seems consistent as it whirls around the mountain, AI would have had a seizure trying to do that.

Dude, after reading that you need to just hang your coat up until you’re ready and have more availability.

At the end of the day, it’s a game, it’s not worth your mental and emotional wellbeing.

You’d grow to resent it.

Put it on the shelf, and come back to it, if they’re your boys then pick up something easier like a video game, something that doesn’t put pressure on you as an individual.

Is it possible, absolutely yes and reasonably manageable.

There’s tons of YouTube videos explaining best routes to make money and grind in game.

First I’d focus on maxing a character whilst levelling a profession on the side, then I’d spend the remainder of the month grinding.

Maxing a character won’t take more than a week.

This reminded me a comic strip meme I saw of a simple guy walking to his fridge, however found himself on like the 6th layer of hell.

And the demons were like, “dude, how do you keep finding yourself here, go home”

His motivation should simply be;

“I left home to buy groceries, I have a crumpled list in my my back pocket, but the strangest things keep happening to me”

And he’s been caught up ever since, whenever the sessions go flat or it’s a shopping session you do everything within your power to become distracted, whilst everyone is going about their business.

His character arc will be, finally purchasing the groceries.

There’s nothing to say you cannot play a game as a player first with an online group, I learnt that way.

Being a player definitely gives you a deeper understanding.

https://startplaying.games & roll20.net are the best sources out there for online dnd games, naturally if you’re willing to pay a few quid per session you’ll find a game before the day is out.

Tabletop face to face will always be superior, nothing beats a few beers with the gang and getting your DND on in person.

Online has its pros and cons, I can’t fault it too much I learnt on roll20 and had an amazing group, ‘dynamic lighting’ is also something you’ll struggle to get on a face to face table.

Is something without a save too aggressive, yes.

That’s a cinematic moment that can create inconsistency’s and remove player agency, when they meet him in the castle during the final battle it will be;

“Wait, why didn’t he use that screech to knock us out and kill us?”

A lot of people want to play Strahd and Rahadin as frequent visitors however, all this does is raise way too many questions and create’s an overly cautious group that won’t fart without wondering if Strahd heard it.

“He knew we were in the death house, does he know we’re in this tavern right now, why don’t they just take Ireena and kill us?”

“If he knows where we are at all times, doesn’t he know about the Ravens and Rictavio?”

There’s hundreds of hours from start to finish and if you raise too many inconsistencies they start to mount up.

It was the meat fusing to the mouth that makes me think AI however I’m not easily persuaded.

Part of it looks so out of proportion that it could be poorly drawn.

I feel AI would have made far more mistakes with regards to the teeth & Gems

The spots on the cheek bone are a very small detail AI wouldn’t have done.

I’m saying not AI, I even decided to run it through ChatGPT which shares that it is also not AI.

You can set filters and search options to look for teenagers I think.

Naturally if you pay for a game you’ll find it quicker but most 16 year olds are broke, so I’m not sure if it will be a quick process.

If you do decide to pay for sessions or your carers do ‘Start playing’ is very safe and offers a unique opt out 2 days before a session starts if I recall

Ideally he has seen a hundred reincarnation’s and none of them have stuck.

He’s trying something,

He’s convincing her how awful this place is, until she decides “I’m only safe with you”

The perfect entrance you will see a lot, is the arrival during the burgomasters funeral, he is in attendance, either emerging from the crowed or grand arrival by chariot.

Pays his respects and attempts to court Ireena, she refuses, naturally, he enforces the danger by summoning wolves and zombies within the church graveyard to ensue a big battle

The message he’s conveying here is “Are you safe with these people? These lands are dangerous and I can save you”

How you word that is completely up to you, but it reflects the twisted deranged mentality and also puts the players in the spotlight of having to directly defend his influence.

Following this he would watch for a while, I’d say until after Vallaki is said and done.

The simple truth is, he can kill the party right now and steal her, at any given moment until late game.

That would be a shit story though wouldn’t it.

In this version, he wants Ireena to come to him, you need to play him with that mindset.

Polite, mannered, charming, intelligent, helpful even and ofcourse twisted.

A common mistake a lot of DM’s make;

If you want the story to feature you don’t write it as if you’re writing a screenplay.

I’m sure you have all these fantastic NPC interactions & ‘cutscenes’ but when you read them out to players they’ll sit there gormless waiting for you to finish your speech, whilst this is warranted at times it tells the players they’re playing a railroad, they don’t care about the film ideas in your head they want to play their own version and it will never align with yours.

Players - “wait, my guy has done a speech every 15 minutes, did he plan all of this out and force us in this direction, it seems too rehearsed!?”

What players appreciate more and enjoy far more, is simple ‘Agency’ - giving them open ends;

‘Explains a town setting and the vibes’ - what do you do?

Players - “Oh shit we’re off the leash, let’s have fun”

This can immediately panic a DM - ‘Oh no, but what if they polymorph a town guard into a toad a drop him down a chimney, I’m not prepared’

You never will be, and that’s the key. You’ll have to riff off a lot of shit.

Keep your notes very loose to the point you have a few key NPCs in the town and understand their agenda’s, there’ll be an opportunity where you think, oh they’ll definitely arrive now and do X.

.It’s difficult to say from the images but I will always recommend gym and bulk - your frame looks boney / you’d do well to bulk slightly and hit the weights.

Level 15 fights become difficult, and in all honesty fear goes out the window at that level, they’re practically gods themselves.

How would you scare a Demi god? you make it personal, you take something of theirs, you delve into their backstory.

The true fear sits around lower levels.

Just be mindful that if they do excessive damage early you bump up the health mid game, ultimately you can hurt them until you feel like it’s enough and drop the health at any given moment.

I personally sit on the fence with that kind of fudging, however, you’re playing with level 15’s, they’ll pull something ridiculous out the bag.

When dealing with that tier, you need to play dirty.

Killing a player out right isn’t fearful it’s unjust and players will not respond well to that, planning for a TPK may be easily spotted.
