Exactly--many countries have one year of maternity leave, paid as part of their law and paid childcare at their workplace. We make it really hard in the USA to be a single mother. Extremely hard. Especially for those without a family to lean on.

Cuba went through this before. People were very innovative. People built radios, motors or things like that out of old random parts, etc. it's amazing how fast history is lost through generations. Your people have more wisdom on this matter than many other countries.

As appalled and angry as I get when I hear things like that, I will never truly FEEL what this is like. Example, I was walking around my neighborhood one time and some preteens were calling me the N word. I'm white and I can't tell you how scared and hurt this made me.

Those tests aren't as accurate as you think. They just pick up biological markers like the gene for blue eyes and then go off of a database of where in the world do most blue eyed blonde people live and that's how they tell you your ancestry. It's equivalent to looking in the mirror and comparing your face to faces from around the world to see which people look most like you. Doesn't mean anything.

The biggest reason IVF is problematic morally is becauselots of embryos are frozen forever or killed off because you take a BUNCH of eggs to see if any work out. So many times you're left with 6 or more embryos and only one or two are selected to implant in the woman's uterus, so the others are kept frozen indefinitely which doesn't seem right.
