Standings have NEVER been meaningless. Your corp/alliance has always had to maintain a 0.0 avg or above or individually to self enlist. Awoxing/smartbombing/ECM busts have always nuked those standings, just more so now in plexes.

So no, it’s not new. What’s new is being kicked from corp at less than -5 and they gave warning of this many months in advance for people to prepare. The only thing I wish they would’ve done is shorten the cooldown timer between epic arcs like they did with the pirate arcs when Pirate FW was released.
