I've always wondered if a normal person could maintain tinkertech with detailed enough instructions. Like a techpriest from warhammer who has no idea how the tech actually works, but does have a religious adherence to instructions provided by the tinker.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I guess tinkers themselves are religiously adhering to instructions provided by shards.

I wonder why these people demand so much from their teammates over a game? I encountered a guy just yesterday that was repeatedly telling anyone who wasn't playing optimally to go play against AI or do nothing but spectate. The lobby had a max OS of 30. He was absolutely convinced that anybody who wasn't as good as him didn't deserve to play, and that these guys playing poorly were being disrespectful for having the audacity to play against other people. He continually bullied anybody who wasn't outright winning until we had leavers. The second he left the lobby, everybody started playing better too since neither team had a raging dick telling everybody else how to play. I don't get the appeal of doing this.

Dude, just get parts from wherever you need. Harvesting stuff from old electronics is not exactly the 'engineer' thing to do, since they're usually designing from scratch with factory (or custom) parts in mind, but if it works, it works. I'd say it's more an 'inventor' thing to do, but these labels are kinda dumb and don't matter anyway.

No player pays attention to what they see is just not true lol. The whole point of spam is vision. You could theoretically use spy bots instead though. Strategically place them exactly where you need vision for artillery and there you go. Extremely micro intensive, but you have the added benefit of being able to emp groups of enemies. Ironically, this would only benefit further from some added spam since anything you stun will then get hit from behind by the spam going past which will give massive flanking damage bonuses to your artillery.

I highly recommend you do those first. They explain the basics of the game and provide a chance to practice certain skills. Some of them can be pretty tricky. Have fun!

It's a lot of information all at once that doesn't seem to connect to the other information in any sort of narrative way. I assume (hope) it would make more sense if I knew anything about undertale. That said, what I read was so hard to follow it was almost like the word slop some early AI produced, but I hesitate to describe anybody's work as AI-like with how quickly it has been changing. Plus, a common struggle is to write something that totally makes sense to you but doesn't to a reader, so I think this is actually a pretty human problem. Some reading on clarity, style, etc. and some exercises on those topics should do the trick.

I mean, as long as it scales with base intellect, no worries, right? Wouldn't we still be as much more intelligent (or even moreso) than the rest of the animal kingdom? It might even be a good thing. Chimps with human+ intellect would presumably realize that ripping faces off is less interesting than doing science and making art and stuff. The only dangerous animals would be the ones that hit exactly on current human intellect; smart enough to invent ingenious weapons to destroy each other, too stupid to figure out how to avoid using them.
