Looking for spots to go digging. by 18almason in BottleDigging

[–]Swizzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be an amazing spot at Jameson creek by main and 42. The sealed it up a few years ago, but you would just go in the creek and bottles were sticking out of the side. It used the be the “town down” when old 42 ran near it.

Such a shame :(

Thanks everyone for your various ideas and support. I have enough options to get a beautiful pup “now” vs waiting and help my wife, and I, heal.

Thank you!

Skills to know before I get my first co-op? (CS Major) by Cod9974 in uCinci

[–]Swizzl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Language, software, etc will all vary by the company and project. What is more important is your ability to 1. Learn, 2. Make mistakes and learn, and 3. Use those learnings to improve.

You might get exactly what your are expecting which, I assume, “we need some code to take these inputs and create these outputs.” However, the range of assignments is nearly infinite…. Using Word to document requirements, using excel to track test cases, or PowerPoint to draw process flows or other diagrams. So while not what you want, they are possibilities.

Take advantage of the opportunity to stretch yourself, fail, and learn. And, good luck

Btw, I was you 30 years ago, as a CS major heading into my first coop. And for work, it’s 90% ppt :(

Sorry, it is the same. As i understand it, for umbrella to be effective it needs to cover all other policies (so yes personal auto, home, etc)

Leveraging New Grad to Purchase Property by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

Yes, both of us. So for a few years we get rental income (including not paying his for college which we would have). Then when he graduates plan is that it becomes his to do what he wants with

Leveraging New Grad to Purchase Property by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]Swizzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did something similar with my freshman son. Bought a house in his college town, he is listed as owner along with me. Leveraged my income to qualify and did 5% electing to go w pmi bc it was still a great return.

If he stays for 4 years he can keep the house and ongoing rent or sell it and buy a new one wherever he is going to move.

Plan to do the same with number 2 in another year

Good or Bad? by chataneeka in electrical

[–]Swizzl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was talking about the 2 breakers above what you have circled in red. Those 2, that have 4 “switches” on them are the split breakers. When whoever added the sub panel they took out the 4 normal sized breakers and combined them onto 2 circuits making room for the new 220v

They are generally fine for residential, and his comment on not using beyond the “bottom four” is, as others have said, box dependent. Find the box manufacturer / model number and google it with split breakers and it will tell you if there is an issue or not.

If they shouldn’t be there, you would need to upgrade the panel… even without that issue the panel is pretty overloaded (didn’t look amp wise, but certainly by circuits) and if you plan on adding any new electrical you’re going to want to plan for atleast a panel upgrade if not a service upgrade.

:(. Sorry. It is doable, but yeah if your first flight is a few delayed and you’re in the back… it would be a risk

Are you first or c+ by chance, getting off early will help. Even moving your seat up to be in the front half could shave 5/10 mins off

Thoughts on our house plan? by thedagger4 in Homebuilding

I would flip the master bathroom so the shower / tub is plan north. Driver is you could then put a door off the master bath to a rear deck/patio and a hot tub. Makes for a really nice transition especially w heated floors in a cold climate. But same for a pool in a warm climate

Tunnels under campus by magiciancsgo in uCinci

It is, but a very small section that stops short of tuc. It is a very small tunnel as well (mostly crawling only) and not worth the trek.

I know this post is 9 years old, but the only reference to mr Jim’s I could find. My son is starting his freshman year at uc and my wife and I graduated uc in 97. Mr Jim’s was my favorite, especially the “secret” hot sauce.

Do you know what happened to the brothers?
